On first glance it looks like the Zambrano car with the big rectangular (elgin clock) in the center console 128F chassis (series II cab) GTE nose 400SA tail tillicack restored it (spuced it up)for Pebble and won it's class 2 maybe 3 years ago Ex Bill Kidd Do I need to keep working on it, or am I on the right trail, do you now need the S/N Tom Shaughnessy Ferrari Bits and Pieces A little knowledge is dangerous
You mean 2821GT? No way. All wrong. By the way, what's up with those vents behind the rear wheels and the odd shape of the rear quarter windows?
here's Lorenzo Zambrano's 2821GT http://www.barchetta.cc/english/All.Ferraris/Detail/2821GT.250GT.htm I doubt it's the same car........
Yep, it's 2207SA. Odd C-pillar shape and rear vent are a perfect match to the Superfast III/IV coachwork. I've never seen it with this nose before.
In other news: Tom finds an old tail light lens sitting in an oily old cardboard box. He briefly examines it, and determines that it is from car #2234ZL. Wayne concurs and adds that it was previously a right hand side lens, but was moved to the left after the mechanic forgot to correctly mark the side it was removed from. I'm not making fun of you guys, I'm just ... amazed ... at your knowledge of these old cars.
They could not think of getting the car sold with the weird looking nose of Superfast IV (it may also have suffered from cooling problems!) so they put on a standard open headlight nose of the production series and repainted into silver and got rid of it. Was golden in the 80's, now dark blue. Best wishes, Kare
I bought a Cavallino Vol1 #1 from Mr. Kidd a couple of years ago. Seems like a nice fellow. Anybody know what cars he's owned?
I put again this thread hoping that someone knows something more about this wonderfull car. I don't know anything about it after it was restylized as Superfast IV. It seems to me that with this new front much more nice then it was, with the previous 4 lights style. Nothing about it on: http://www.barchetta.cc/english/All.Ferraris/Detail/2207SA.400Superamerica.htm Thank you
2 pics of Superfast IV and #2207SA as it is today. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
The last picture shows 2373SA! I almost had a heart attack of the thought that somebody might have destroyed the few special features that still remains on 2207SA - mainly the unique C-pillar.
You are right of course, slip of the typing machinary. This is an old pic of 2373SA when it was still in Sweden. Image Unavailable, Please Login
so, the 2373 changed its colour from light metal blu to dark blu before 1998 and then back to light blu. Isn't it? and when did it happen? But don't forget the main theme: the # 2207!
Call me weird, but I like the 4 headlight styling of the car. It's not as pretty as the standard 2 headlight version but very funky. Regards, Art S. PS. I'll take it in either 2 or 4 headlight form!
Me too, love it ... much more exciting than the other 4 headlight attempt of the period ont he 2+2's. What a pity ... but ofcourse differing opinions will cause this. Hope they kept the nose. Pete
