    Another beautiful specimen from Italian Car Day, this car, 6715, is also local... The owner's a really nice guy and a geniune, down to earth car guy... Equally appealing as the look of the car, was the sound... On our way back to the office, after a few detours, Gerald and i actually spotted this car and i screamed and pointed like an 8 year old, thus coaxing Gerald into following it so we could both hear the sweet exhaust note... It was really cool, to say the least...

    Here's one for you. What one did I own that raced at the Targa Floria in 66 that Gerald drove after I sold it, that now lives in a barn that blew down that was Yellow with a purple stripe that was red by the time Gerald drove it?

    Can you tell me from when to when you owned the car...? Who you bought it from...? Also, any idea why it was an alloy-bodied car with a steel nose...? Thanks... i'm gonna go check out the video... :)

    I bought it in 1971 from a dealership owned by Herb Wetson in Glen Cove from a salesman Mark Derrish. They bought the car from Rob de la rieve Box.
    I paid 7.5K drove it for 65K miles and sold it in 73 for 14K. Great Car.
    It began as an alloy short nose. Must have crashed. Repaired with a steel long nose before I bought it. Raced in 66 Targa Floria.

    By the way, at the time of Jim's photos, the car was yellow and that interesting decorative stripe was dark purple!
