Lamborghini Huracan Successor Arrives August 16 It'll have more than 887 hp from a 10,000 rpm, twin-turbo V8 hybrid setup. https://www.motor1.com/news/728166/lamborghini-huracan-successor-august-16-debut/ .
Despite going from a naturally aspirated V10 to a twin-turbo V8, the Temerario's engine revs nearly 2,000 rpm higher https://www.thedrive.com/news/the-lamborghini-temerario-is-a-907-hp-v8-huracan-successor-that-revs-to-10k-rpm .
how in world is street motor able go 10k with turbos! thats crazier than the na hypercars that go 12k. wow engineers must be pulling out all the stops before ice is outlawed.
Watched a couple videos… first impressions is boring. Was expecting way more in looks. Front end is lacking. Side view is uninspiring and clunky, and rear taillights are whomp whomp. Whatever. Interior is nice. The good part as you drive it. Sure they’ll sell like crazy and if I had a spare pile of cash I’d buy one too, but… uh, whatever. And I’d really love to get a Lamborghini at some point, I think they’re a step ahead of Ferrari. Do they have sticky buttons?
Looks-wise it is what I would expect from the current design team: a very safe, mash-up of existing design elements. Feels a bit like a Lamborghini from a video game that does not have the licence to use the real deal. Tech-wise it looks incredible, might just be on par or outperforming Ferrari's 296, which is the benchmark
Regardless, seems engineers are not making incremental improvements anymore. Na v16 revs to 12k and 1000 hp vette in same year as 10k rpm turbo v8 means something has changed.
I'm impressed of Lambo's recent technical renewal. Especially about 10 000 rpm. Then again, Temerario's engine has specific power of 200 PS/liter. That falls quite far from 296 GTB's 221 PS/liter. I would not be totally surprised if Ferrari F250 will produce same hp from 3 litre V6 than Lambo from 4 litre V8. It would require a hefty ~ 20 % power increase though.
Way too heavy IMHO, even the "lightweight" version. The only advantage might be the traction. I think the looks are neutral and safe. The engine is probably the most interesting aspect and it's a v8.
Confirmed by different good sources but waiting the unveiling and suspension push and pull it’s confirmed by same source
Unispired design. Front looks like japanese design or something, not Italian Lamborghini. The rear is good. But so far Huracan is a nicer design. Technally its a step up. I wish they would have went hybrid/v10.
Just got back from Car Week and had a chance to see the car up close at the Lamborghini lounge. It looks better in person and was impressed with all the small details you can't see in pictures. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
It is a clean design. Front end has strong design elements from the Essenza SCv12 for an entry model. Rear 3/4 view gives off Bertone vibes.
Impressive engine. But it is quite a surprise that Lambo 4.0 litre V8 produces less max torque than Ferrari 3.0 litre V6. 296 GTB: 740 Nm @ 6250 rpm Temerario: 730 Nm @ 4000 - 7000 rpm They are of course tuned differently. V6 has also some advantages related to turbo charging.
