Mine arrives in a few weeks - I’ve had surround view and blind spot radars in BMWs, and thought they were really helpful. From what I can tell, these options look very similar on the Roma. For me the safety of blind spot detection is a must. And surround view is great for parking - I don’t want to curb my wheels or park too close to any other car doors.
Thanks Dan. This was my exact thinking as well. Does anyone with the car right now with surround, back radar, adas etc have any opinions?
Looks to be the historic colour Nocciola. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Nocciola is a great color - that maybe slightly darker, or could just be photo? either way, a brave choice, but looks classy on this
I have Nocciola on a 246 GTS and it looks just like that in photo's not taken in direct sunlight. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Hi question for those with carplay on their roma: When playing music using Spotify, can we skip tracks using the passenger display or central display? Thanks!!!
Just picked up my Roma today. Interesting comparison. Home together - GT friends. 50 years apart. Roma GT 3.9 liter and 1968 330 GTC 4.0 liter. Nothing really has changed from some points of view. Only four extra cylinders and a couple turbos. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
George build. Congrats! Is that Creme interior? Now the long and inpatient wait as it ships. Mine shipped 6/9/2021. Should hit the port any day now.
Thanks. It’s Blu Roma, with Sabbia interior. I’m in the UK, so shouldn’t take too long. Possibly this month I’m told.
Mine is Grigio Alloy (I once had a 2012 Cali in that color, loved it), with black and blue two tone leather, yellow stitching, yellow cavalino on the seats and yellow piping.
Power wise, definitely the turbos beat the extra 4 cylinders. Maybe in some other aspect it's the other way round. Beautiful pair and the place looks like an amazing property, too.
looks good - similar spec to mine except I went with tortora ( which I am starting to doubt ). When did you order I am in the U.K. too and have been told July delivery but no pictures yet ( and no vin number on the app) so I am doubtful.
Although I enquired last October, I didn’t confirm the order until Feb this year. I got my painted photos 2 weeks ago, and 10 days later a photo of the finished car…..! I wouldn’t use the photos as a guide to delivery date, seems like they may not be sent out promptly. Maybe an Italian thing. Best thing to do is call your dealership for an update.
I was torn between Sabbia and Tortora. I think both are great, Tortora probably shows less marks, as it’s more of a mushroom colour.
yes you can skip tracks with the central display; not with the passenger display -- the passenger display hardly has any functionality ... but there's a better way, anyway: there's a little up/down toggle switch on the back side of the right side of the steering wheel for your index finger to skip tracks . Also, you cannot shuffle through folders and playlists (or anything else in spotify or any other carplay app) with the central display. Only the driver can see the full carplay interface in the dash and can actually change playlists with the right-side touchpad on the steering wheel. The central display does not show carplay at all, which is too bad, because it would definitely be faster/easier to tap a touch screen for carplay than to use the touchpad on the steering wheel. After suffering through carplay in a Ferrari, don't get into a base model Ford, because you'll be like "WHY IS FERRARI CARPLAY SO FRUSTRATINGLY INFERIOR" . They really need to get higher quality capacitive touch into Ferraris, if their goal is to move everything to touch interfaces. Like spend a little less on carbon fibre air ducts or dumb things like that , and more on high quality touch hardware that actually really makes a difference to customer experience, if you are going to build a car where even the climate controls are touch interface. It should feel as responsive as an ipad touchscreen.
