I know some dislike Alonso for being Alonso but what a racing beast !

Bottas sensor fail could not be over ridden it seems. Maybe he could be P2. Small reliability issues.

He is a racer. One of the best. He pushes in a continuous fashion. Driven.

I hope the Mercedes drivers won’t publicly complain about the unreliability of their car? That would be inappropriate as a comment, right?:D;)

What you are saying is that Mercedes has done a terrific job all along.

I have to agree with that. ;)

Incredible that no team has been able to catch them, after ... 7 years.

Well, that was the dullest race of the season so far. Snore fest.

It’s saying something when the only interesting outcome was how Mick Schu nearly lapped his pathetic excuse of a team mate. Speaking of which, Mazespin didn’t. That’s quite an achievement.

    On to the next one.

Well Leclerc pulled ahead of Ocon on the same tire strategy so the reds maybe still ahead. But I think the Renault engine is not worse than Ferrari’s so they will be strong, for sure. And the team at Enstone—whatever they’re called— always come hood in one way or another in my opinion.

I suspect the drama at pre-season testing was to make RBR believe they had a chance this year and so waste resources and distract on 2022 preparation to chase performance.

Your analysis is valid but I believe that you and I do not watch these races to see Ferrari fighting with a Renault rebadged Alpine, manufactured in England..

In his own way, he's expressing frustration that every discussion of Hamilton's actions is explained by his fans as a component of a master strategy to further outwit the competition. Sometimes complaining about tires is just that, complaining about tires... despite being in a much faster car.

    All the best,
    Andrew.

Agree. But we are where we are after last year’s disaster, COVID and tokens. Was hoping for more, for sure, and a clear 3rd best car but I think the team are still lacking hp and downforce to help the tires survive.

2022 should be with zero excuses, especially if the 2 pilotes keep driving as they are.

That's a strange way of expressing one's self with racist undertones. Hopefully that's not the norm on here.

Great drivers make for boring races sometimes, Schumi, now Hamilton. Verstappen currently leading Bottas in points, also led Bottas in points previous seasons. Take away Lewis and we have a show.

Excuse me?? You should have a look at my posting history. Support the charge that I'm racist with evidence or withdraw it.

    Regards,
    Andrew.

Mazepin has no business on the circuit at all. He needs to go. Finance will not let that happen. He can go back to street -racing in Moscow and entertaining his friends and females in Dubai. Useless.

Agreed, but daddy wants an F1 team. If not Racing Point then HAAS F1. Dad has half-a-BILLION of USD to burn to TRY to get HAAS at least in the mid-field.

If I’m not mistaken, Horner said Merc would have the advantage at Portugal and Spain....they wanted to get as much as they could. Verstappen taking second from Bottas is a good haul, though not Hamilton (the critical target)

I think we’ll see more of Alonso as the season progresses and he comes to grips with the car.
