Mattia Dinner just west of Haynes Starbucks on the a303diwn near Mear. can’t find anywhere else open at a sensible time. A few farm shops about but they don’t seem to open to 10-10:30 not a great selection!!!
As it seems the most convenient for everyone, meet at Haynes car park as usual, bring your own refreshments? I do not think the car park has any barriers. Just need to give the cars a runout.
I am afraid I shall be on the M5 travelling to GLOS. in the family estate car on Sunday morning, so I shan't be able to join you, but I hope you have an enjoyable run out and meet up. Forecast looks favourable.
Sorry to hear you cannot make it,have a good trip to Glos. I do not know if a meeting is definite anyway.Just have to keep in touch somehow.
As long as it’s not raining I’ll be going for a drive early morning; so will aim to be there for 0900. No big deal if it’s just me as I’d stop for a leg stretch anyway before playing on Salisbury plain!
Never mind, dry run up from Weymouth but was looking cloudy after Dorchester, arrived just before 10 due to unexpected delay. Will have to have a rethink for next meeting as there were gates after all, sorry about the duff info'!
Absolutely. We will be adding it to the events list for Drivers Union as well so hopefully get a few more joining us. Really looking forward to getting let out; head down for the moment; not quite but almost there!
By the time that this is feasible again, I am afraid I shall no longer be living in the South West if all goes to plan, so I am grateful to Adrian for taking this on. Attendance in the past has been sporadic, so I think that to open it up to DU members will provide a boost to numbers as well as adding some welcome variety to the cars and drivers that participate. For anyone who does not know about it, details of the DU can be found here - it is free to join and it is well worth doing so.
For those who are interested in resuming the meets,I have just contacted Haynes and they have informed me they will be opening on May 17th and are happy for us to use car park again. I will leave it open for everyone to decide what Sunday after the 17th is the most convenient and to chime in.
Brilliant. Suggest we go for the same as last time; last Sunday of the month? I’ll also get it posted up on the Drivers Union website. If your not a member please do check it out, basic membership is free.
I won’t be at 30th may, as I’m booked into Prescott italia, it the next one yes. will get word to the local foc groups as well.
Meets back on for the last Sunday in the month, early morning in time for a cooked breakfast at 0930. First on 30th May. Also advertised through Wessex FOC and Drivers Union so hopefully a good mix of super cars. Please obviously comply with whatever covid restrictions are in place on the day and imposed by the museum.
Don’t forget this Sunday, informal meet at Haynes in time for a breakfast (I hope the kitchen is open!!). Weather man is also looking like he will be kind. Ill also be along now as well!!!
