Tsunoda's performance yesterday reminded me a lot of Kamui Kobayashi when he arrived in F1. He was very promising during his stint at Toyota; I remember bold moves during his 2nd GP in Brazil. Many predicted he would become a front runner in F1. In the end, he only collected 1 podium in 77 races, tell the stats. He faded away, with drives at Sauber and Catherham, and now races in endurance. Let's hope Tsunoda will fare better. F1 could do with an oriental star, for the sake of diversity.
Just for the record: I'm becoming a Tsunoda fan if he manages to keep his impressive runs. That said, this will not impact my support for Lance nor does it take away from his solid result yesterday.
The Alpha seems to be super fast, so I expect good results from both of them going forward. I wouldn't be surprised if they beat Aston Martin on a regular basis. Szefnauer stated during the race that their car took a beating with the new regulations.
The Minardis used to be the permanent backmarkers in the old days, but the Alpha Tauris are getting nearer the top nowadays. They achieve that with a smaller budget than Red Bull, so I am wondering who engineers their cars.
Feel free to call me crazy but I do like the green...I miss the pink! It really added a pop into the field colorwise.
Stroll = 10th Checo = 5th. Vet = 2nd to last. Stinky. Ferrari should have had a 'claw back' provision. If a driver becomes an idiot, they have to give back 50% of their salary.
100% yes!! First race, points and shows Stroll what racing is lol His interview on SKY post race was so fun to watch! That is a racer!
Or is it hate only when someone criticizes HAM? Also, you’re hating on race winner Gasly yet defending Stroll at every turn?
A racer vs 'driver' - The driver is Stroll in case you are not certain lol https://www.autosport.com/f1/news/tsunoda-wouldnt-sleep-if-he-hadnt-attacked-stroll-on-last-lap/5988186/ Tsunoda “wouldn’t sleep” if he hadn’t attacked Stroll on last lap By: Adam Cooper Mar 30, 2021, 5:10 AM AlphaTauri Formula 1 rookie Yuki Tsunoda says he wouldn’t have been able to sleep on Sunday night if he hadn’t launched a last lap attack on Lance Stroll at the Bahrain Grand Prix. The Japanese driver already had a debut point for 10th place in his pocket, but he showed that he already means business by stealing ninth place from Stroll at the start of the final lap.
Gasly or Ghastly . It's a pun on his name, can't you see it? Dear oh Lord, are you that uptight ? It's just like a commentator kept mentioning Alain Proust for fun at the time. I don't hate the bloke at all, although the Monza win was due to an extraordinary set of circumstances. You don't need to tell me: Hamilton dropped the ball on that day.
Uptight, LOL; your favourite comeback. Pot, kettle. “It’s not fair” can’t be far behind. So, in summary, no problem piling on Gasly or Vettel (we all do, right) and of course Ferrari but negative comments on Stroll performance or Hamilton behaviour and one is hating, yes?
He is now talking about retiring at some point. If he keeps it up as in Bahrain Hulk might be in an Aston Martin later this season. I loved Seb in his "Minardi" and Red Bull years but the zenith was clearly passed in his last RB year. From then on the decline started all through the Ferrari years of wasted time and now to Aston. He's done.
Finally maybe Enzo Ferrari was right? With three childrens, Vettel lost a lot of speed in this sport..
They say a kid equals 1/10 of a second. So that doesn't explain it all. Especially not the erratic behavior of spinning and crashing.
This may be a misinterpretation on my part, but Vettel’s racing behavior is similar to that of someone who panics during tension phases. The fear of getting hurt?
