You must have Texan blood in you!
My wife is the same. She loves planked salmon - which is not exactly the sort of thing you whip up on short notice - and she will tolerate these burgers, which actually have some mesquite smoke flavor in them. You can buy these burgers at Costco. They're not too bad in terms of ingredients. Flavor is good, especially grilled.

Bought the Anaheim chili peppers at Kroger to experiment with. I've seen them in a few recipes for pinquito beans. These Anaheims had very mild heat. Good smoky flavor from being roasted though. Might be fun to ratchet up the heat a little while guajillo peppers, but those seem hard to find fresh.

They're out of quarantine, and we're having lamb. Looking @ a few grilled lamb w/ Meyer lemon sauce recipes.
Fingers crossed! And, again, thanks, those lemons look great...T

I'm hungry after the park.............. Don't feel like cooking. Trying to talk my family into getting Chinese take out. Dad is onboard, but if mom and brother bail. Dad said we'll do Japanese. His turn to pay, I ended up paying the last two times.

My advice, you & Dad go to the Chinese place, eat until you're ready to bust.
Loosen your belts, and then eat until you pass out! :D

The competition amongst Japanese restaurants here, they are in pretty much every plaza. Is so great, many offer an all you can eat menu. Its made to order, so not buffet style. Its not bad, if very hungry. But most are closed because of covid. Speaking of buffet's, I miss the one at our local casino. It was pretty good.

Good find. We use their EVOO and really like it. We read a while ago olive oil is one of the most counterfeited foods / commodities out there. These folks seemed to have a tight shop so we went with them.

Casino buffet, can't beat that! We did the $6 prime rib dinner at one of the places on Fremont Street in Vegas. Think it was the Californian. That prime rib was paper thin, but it came with a salad, a veggie, a starch, some strawberry shortcake kind of dessert, and ice tea IIRC. We ate like kings! This 'rona is a major drag, needs to go the f**k away!

    For the broccoli fans. @ronfrohock
My wife's favorite. Steamed in the wave with two slices of American cheese. Yep, the stuff in the plastic wrap. I tried to go fancy it up once with gruyere cheese. I got skunk eye for my efforts.

Lamb. Costco. I slice it up into 4 portions because as much as I love grilled lamb, I don't like leftover lamb.

Tri-tip marinating in a bath of worcheschire, red wine vinegar, olive oil, honey, and sweet tea. Steak is seasoned with kosher salt and Herbs de Provence rub. Will be pulling off around 145F I think. Considering doing a low smoke for about 2 hours and see what the internal temp will be, wrap until final temp and then sear.

Also making a sauce, but that recipe has not formed in my head yet.

Came out pretty good for my first time. Herbs de Provence is very good, but it definitely needs some other herbs and spices to compliment it. I'll have to think about that for next time. For the shrooms (****take and baby bella), green bell peppers, and onions, just seasoned with stuff I can't remember because it was spur of the moment decisions, and glazed with red wine vinegar and poured in some horseradish.

And for Tom, the proverbial horseradish sauce on top.
