Any news about Ferrari in the new Hypercars program? It should be interesting to see it in the top category at Le Mans
Ferrari: there is already an official Hypercar plan in the Scuderia! The heir of "LaFerrari" would be a high-tech car that could be born to satisfy the desire of wealthy customers, but could become the basis of the program to be joined to F1 if there should be another cut in the budget cap. https://it.motorsport.com/f1/news/f1-ferrari-ce-gia-un-piano-hypercar-ufficiale-nella-scuderia/4784316/?fbclid=IwAR3nUsDjAkhcTTdeGN8WNCEbgLKVOsExTZ7f1lsopqbWkyNfx2UFm7Vtjt8

Ferrari maintains interest in WEC and Indycar, not Formula E the expansion of Ferrari's sports program has two categories in its sights: WEC and IndyCar. Despite the great growth of Formula E, the electric category is not an option for the Maranello firm. It is not a secret that Ferrari is working on shaping a sports project far from Formula 1 , since the budgetary control that exists in the premier class allows resources to be allocated to other efforts. Louis Camilleri , CEO of Ferrari , has explained in this regard that the IndyCar is one of the focuses of interest , especially from the engine supplier profile. At the same time, the possibility of Ferrari designing its own Le Mans Hypercar (LMH) to compete in the WEC is real and is on the table, debated in the upper echelons of the Italian firm. However, this 'expansionist' Ferrari spirit has limits and does not provide in any case reach Formula E . The enormous growth of the series and its World Championship status do not seem to be a sufficient claim for the Italian firm, since they understand from the Italian brand that Formula E is a very standardized category that does not allow to show the brand identity . With very similar cars and that by regulations do not allow technological innovations in many areas, Ferrari understands that there is no differentiation between brands and fighting with manufacturers such as Audi, Mercedes or Porsche does not make sense . To compete in the Endurance World Championship, the brand values developing its own hypercar prototype (LMH) , which would imply designing a vehicle in an integral way, with its hybrid power train and its chassis and bodywork. However, IndyCar opens the door to act as a motorcyclist and fight Chevrolet and Honda on American soil. The development of a 2.4-liter V6 turbo engine with hybrid technology fits within the brand's plans , although the definition of the new technical regulations is still lacking. Ferrari could decide on a hypercar program before Christmas https://it.motorsport.com/wec/news/ferrari-decisione-sul-programma-hypercar-prima-di-natale/4928195/?ic_source=home-page-widget&ic_medium=widget&ic_campaign=widget-1 https://lat.motorsport.com/wec/news/ferrari-podria-decidir-hipercoche-antes-navidad/4928238/?ic_source=home-page-widget&ic_medium=widget&ic_campaign=widget-6 The Italian house has said in recent months that they will seek to reallocate the budget and personnel that they will no use in Formula 1 before the introduction of the cost limit. Ferrari, then, will aim to win the general classification again at the 24 Hours of Le Mans: the Cavallino, in fact, must launch the program that will have to take the place in the GT races that now occupy the 488 GTEs. Currently, there is a viable project for hypercars that must be presented and approved by the company's senior management. The schedule will be very tight to get to the 2023 edition on time.

IMO Ferrari is rather keen on developing the complete car in house and is more interested in the LMH class. However as far as I know the problem still is whether the LMH cars can be raced in IMSA as well.
