You gotta check out the video for this '70 Triumph Bonneville. And, the old guy is right. His bike is the one to buy. I love these bikes. I've owned several. There's just one itty bitty problem the seller doesn't mention. Triumph never learned how to split a crankshaft. The pistons go up and down together. The result is a high frequency proctology exam. The first twenty minutes of riding are pure hell. (Looking around to see if any ladies are around, it will even put your balls to sleep.) Once numb, it's not so bad, but...

But this is one of the most beautiful motorcycles ever made. The Brits didn't know what they had. Like most manufacturers, the ended up ****ing it up. The 1970 was the last of the best.

    Damn, I'm really tempted.

    Gorgeous? Absolutely.

    Lucas electrics.
    Amal carbs.
    Kick start.

Loved Brit bikes and owned a bunch. Nope.

It does have electronic ignition which helps, but the proctology effect will keep me from buying a '70 again.

But if someone is a collector, this is the bike. I could see Barber going for this bike.

Barber's actually on my list for this winter. Easier to reach from FL than NY. Collect my nephew in ATL + his sons and off we go.

Did some thinking. Got first motorcycle in 1970. Bought new Monster in 1999.
That's roughly 30 years of various Brit bikes and kick starters. Ducati was my first electric start.
    Life changing. LOL
