Wasn't it at a recent Olympics where Ferrari's F1 car at the time was doing doughnuts to illustrate it's superior performance?

After the emotional finish last week, at the end of a ripping pursuit to the wire (which is one of the beauties of open wheel motorsport IMO), it struck me how much the emotional aspect drives our passion for this sport. It really seemed the paddock respected Ghasly's achievement, which was nice to see. I'm also an anorak about the details and history, but it really all comes together on the given day sometimes. Watching Rindt chase down Brabham at Monaco in 1970 (on Wide World of Sports) is a similar memory that remains to this day.

Given that, I'd love to see Perez finally come good and win a race or two this year, just to ramp up the tension and expectations for Seb (who I genuinely like as a driver) next year. Given the RP pace and his ability to manage tires it might not be too far fetched. Max or Valterri getting their elbows out with LH could create an opportunity.

Then have Perez bring his sponsorship to IndyCar for 2021 as an F1 winner. Penske would probably like to see that for the series as well.

The other righting the karma in the universe scenario for me would be to see Albon have a good race, go wheel to wheel with LH and have the Mercedes come out the loser for a change.

Plenty of the season left for one or both of those things to happen. FP1 should be interesting.

Whereas today's Ferrari might be faster if they quit eating donuts and started doing engineering.....

I like the new color, especially because it is shiny and not matte like the last ones. Ferraris should always be shiny the matte is horrible. Red is too dark ... but this is fine for this race.
How nice it would be for Leclerc to win with that Ferrari on Sunday, It could be a miracle, I don't know an impressive rain, a typhoon, I don't know, how nice it would be if that negrote podrido didn't win again like in Monza

With Vettel at RP and Gasly confirmed at Tauri, Albon could breathe easier. Then again the 2nd seat could go to Perez.

Has Albon remotely been this consistent close to Max so far?? Seems not overall. He has a few races to achieve this or he is gone. Who is next lol???????

There is talk of Perez going to Indy under McLaren per Zak Brown.

    It's just talk for now.

It's too bad Luca's career seems defined by 2 poor performances which came under very difficult circumstances.
Very unfair imo - If not top notch, he was always a very credible racing driver and strong test driver.
