Took the kids today. The traffic is really annoying. It took us an hour to move 1 mile to the parking lot. And then it took almost 20 minutes to leave the grounds.
oooo-k, and besides the traffic, did you see a car show? any cool cars??? . tip - next time arrive earlier (of course) and /or come in the back way via Rt.10 and Old Farms Rd. to Tillotson Rd. .
Very disappointing day. I wish that the organizers had said in advance that there was a limit to how many spectators were allowed in. I drove close to 200 miles and spent over 4 1/2 hours in my car only to be told that the show was at capacity and that I was out of luck.
well, reading comments on 'DreamRide' insta https://www.instagram.com/p/CEPpS6-HT1B/ , you certainly were not alone. Even those who had already purchased tickets in advance were shut out. .
I did that last year and it sucked too. I thought that it be better this year because of Covid. I will seek to open it up next year. I think I did that once and it was easy peezy. cars were cool but a lot less than last year. By 12pm, the field was 60percent empty.
what time was that. I was in a car line by the golf course for like an hour between 1030 and 1130. The actual carshow was not crowded at all.
that would include me, prepaid, got there, waited in line for over an hour, only to be told they were full, to keep moving. saw lots of show cars leaving as we waited in traffic. By the time we got by the show field you could clearly see that there was plenty of space. Finally offered a lady $5 to park in her yard and she said yes. If not for her, it would have been a wasted day... I got ahold of my credit card to dispute the charge. When the gentleman asked why, I said I prepaid, got there, they oversold it, and was denied entrance. He said sounds pretty cut and dry. Charges will be reversed.
I didn’t pay to get in. They gave me a wristband in the parking lot and asked for a donation when I get to the gate. I couldn’t find the donation booth. this year was clearly a ****show.
