Dodge, GM need to go out of business and no bail out to get a chance to properly restructure, refocus and resurrect, if that’s even possible.

If Dodge went out of business..where would Ferrari source half its interior parts from?

Congrats! I've a '14 GT500. The car has been a blast drive and is absolutely bulletproof. It's very old school and raw, but it still has the reliability of a brick. I daily drive mine and have had to change out only the battery and brake pads (plus all fluids annually). That's it. I hope the new gen proves to be equally reliable.

I wanted to go to Amelia c&c event this year but never wound up making it. It's normally better than most car shows.

Tell us what you think. Has it met your expectations? I find myself being drawn to cars that are somewhat off the normal course for me. I am considering a Viper ACR, Demon, and 2020 GT500. All are somewhat unusual, with unique applications.

Good list, i respect that. All are noisy and rough and aggressive in appearance. If i thought i could drive a stick I would get a ACR or GT350R. Demon I had but didn’t take delivery as it was just too much a one trick pony (and even then, not so much in fact).
    ACR....hmmm!

So I picked up a Viper ACR. Now I want to grab a GT500 off that list. What’s the best way to go about acquiring a Golden Ticket without paying through the nose? The local big dealer in Charlotte only has four more allocations and all are spoken for. Another question, is MY2020 the end if the run, or will they continue into MY2021?

This video put me over the edge....

Mine comes in about 2 weeks but it is not a Golden Ticket. Silver with Blue Stripes. I am not sure I will take it if you are interested.

Wow. Thanks! Good looking out, but I’m pretty sure I want a Golden Ticket. Nice color combo though. Why are you not wanting it? Too many cars, not enough time?

I understand that a 'Golden Ticket' GT500 has come to mean one with the CF Track Pack and painted stripes, the real meaning came from dealers because it was their 'Golden Ticket' to to tack on $40k mark-up!
btw - great engine, BUT, 4200 LBS?!!!

The only REAL Golden Ticket! :p

They are going about $30-40K over. Had two dealers call me a few weeks ago (bought Raptors from both). One had a non golden for sticker allocation (I took it) and the other wanted $40K over for golden allocation. You won't find one anywhere close to sticker for golden. Hell even non goldens are getting $10k over. You will start to see more now that they are cranking them out--but will need to be patient.

Talked to these guys on this Golden before got my allocation...they are sitting on it getting people to bid it up. All games. $45K over.

Pretty much + I just ordered the 765. I got all the options on the GT500, painted stripes, carbon everything, etc. Who knows, maybe I pick it up.

It's just a fun American Muscle car that sounds amazing and with 760 HP it can move that weight. Not meant to be track weapon by any means. For that your favorite 4880 lb Tesla S will do :p

I dont know where all of that weight comes from. I wont be surprised if they come out with an R version that shaves 500lbs.

it actually is meant to be a track weapon as well as drag strip. Not sure if they are building a 2021, but I heard maybe just 5,000 for 2020?? Car sounds mean, dual clutch is great.

Agree. But too heavy as a lasting track weapon. Heck, my Tesla smokes it...for a lap that is. LOL

Ok...there you have it it's a "track weapon" (but it's too heavy).

As for number the total '20-'21 was suppose to be 5000. 1200 Goldens and 3800 regulars. If you want one you can get one--just need to be patient.

Enjoy these cars while you can...
