You absolutely should gather all the parts, start cutting, get overwhelmed then secretly contact me and offer it to me for pennies on the dollar... i’ve had a lot of great projects that have come my way and I’ve let go of even more to the same circumstance, I won’t lie, this Ferrari chassis is a huge pain in the ass, every panel hit, front suspension damage, hodgepodge repairs, I can’t even imagine what my hours will be into this, a driving beater to modify would be thousands ahead

A friend of mine once told me he was embarrassed to say how many motorcycles he had taken apart...

I took everything apart as a kid and never put it back together, bicycles were my windmill for years in the mid seventies

I'm one of those people if you explain how to fix something to me you'll just get a blank look from me, my brain doesn't work that way I have to do the work myself. I usually do things the wrong way first then eventually get it just takes me more time. I'm hoping if there is life after death that in my next life I am more mechanically inclined and also smaller so I can fit in all the small cars I like.

I’m assuming the hub is heat treated and would not be able to weld

Darn! I was figuring your next comment would be how you welded it all up and got things straightened out. Will be interested to see how you solve this little puzzle.

BTW I LOVE that Continental. Man oh man, all it needs is a couple fender flags up front and I'd be rolling in style...

On my car, about 20 years ago I welded new billet 6061 shock mount tabs to the hubs to relocate the shock inboard 1.625" which let me install 10.5" wheel inside the stock fenders. I didn't do any kind of heat treat, just warmed it up and welded on longer ears so more stress than stock....and that was 20 years ago. I would just weld it and be done with it....but you can weld and re-heat treat if you use something like a 4643 fill rod instead of the standard 4043.
