Like Vettel, another guy who should have been turfed a long time ago! I don’t understand that team’s motivation to keep him.

 

Here’s hoping those “reliability” updates didn’t work - for all Merc users.

What's with the pit crews wearing cloth masks instead of helmets with full face shields?

(Seen the Sky reporter, all alone in the stands, with nobody withing 100 meters ... wearing a cloth mask?)

Ferrari on med, the top runners on softs.

 

Masks are mandatory, the only way these GP's were allowed to happen is with a very strict safety protocol.

 

But don't the normal pit helmets already cover the face?

 

I hope they get some chance to practice with softs.
Last year, the Ferraris wore out their softs pretty quickly.

 

That I have no answer for....other than supposing that the face coverings they had before, if any, were not of a spec suitable to ward off microbes.

 

I could maybe see masks under the helmets, but masks *instead* of helmets?
I wouldn't think that was particularly safe.

(Unless they add the helmets later, after the "for show" sessions.)
