It doesn’t sound too bad! Not as raspy and raw as the 812. But I think with a decent after market exhaust it could sound pretty good!

I think the sound was assisted by the semi-enclosed area...but I am moving forward with my order and hoping it doesn’t disappoint.

Is it me or do the front tyres look very narrow?

Probably an air dam on the underside like the F12.

If you zoom in you can see part of the tire is blocked by the part under the fender.

I just took delivery of gpf one but it seems to be only in idle / standstill. The moment you floor it it seems every bit as aggressive. For better sound at lower speed just have the flaps opened.

Interesting... thanks. Let's face it, the sound at idle isn't that important... it's when you're on the quiet country road and you bang past 6k revs in 2nd gear... that's when it counts :)

You mentioned getting flaps pinned back - a good idea. Also, I'm curious how after market products will improve the sound... I assume the pre-GPF stuff still fits (e.g. the rear boxes) but maybe Capristo, Novitec etc will also bring out GPF-specific versions...?

Out of interest, did you get the 812 SF or an early delivery of the GTS?

    812SF.
For the valves I got the novitec remote installed. Best cheap mod to get a bit more sound at idle and lower speeds, and great to discreetly arrive or leave home in the late and early hours.

I did ask for further options (novitec xpipe and backbox) which is same as on the non-gpf but I remembered your words that those do not really give a big impact on the sound. I'm just going to leave it like this for now and I'll see if something can entice me in the future.

As said, I wouldn't worry too much about the sound. Yes, a bit muffled at idle. But bang it through the gears and it's mega as ever.

Awesome. Thank you. BTW I will be moving the Novitec rear boxes and (assuming it fits) the x pipe over from my 812 SF to the GTS when it arrives (expected October). So I will be able to report back first hand then how the V12 sounds with GPF but those after market parts. Might look into doing the cats at a later date but I have spent too much money on exhaust parts in the last few years!!

I'm very glad you said it still sounds great at higher revs - can't wait to throw the roof down and bang through the gears!

    Enjoy your new ride :)
