Yeah... OEM R12 would be best. I need to do a lot of research on refrigerant etc. Never recharged a system before.

In California it is quite easy actually.

For all their hair pulling, hand wringing and regulations R12 is easier to get and typically cheaper in California than anywhere in the country.

Don't you just hate when the rule of unintended consequences rears its ugly head and bites stupid environmental regulations and regulators? Sacramento is just brain dead.

To buy R12 in California one phone call and I could have a pallet of 30 lb bottles delivered before lunch. Ask for R12 here and everyone looks at you like you just asked for a kilo of coke.

Not worth getting equipment to do it once. On top of that you need a license to buy freon and it is a little difficult to get in units smaller than 30 lbs.

Favor: Can someone take a close up picture of a BBI interior doorlock pull and the bezel that goes around it Please. I'm looking to purchase those bezels and cant find them anywhere. I am looking at a couple of leads at this time.

I bought a bunch of parts from UK last year for my passenger door lock. Amazingly cheap.

but the older one makes more fun when driving hard.
I always prefer my BB koenig to the TR koenig competition. the BB makes so much fun in the black forest but the competition is great on autobahn :)

each one has qualities that are enjoyable in different circumstances.
the bbi is a fun car when i want an involved driving experience for sure.
the 512tr is great for longer trips, and when i need to take my wife someplace since it is more comfortable. also much more stable at high speed.
will clean it up this weekend and then take some pics and post them here.
