I know how you feel, Jason. I was supposed to leave Saturday for Daytona but the track is closed. So is Watkins Glen for our event at the end of April.
Changed the horse back to the original black for an '89 build car. I really like the stealthy look. Image Unavailable, Please Login
The AMOC has an event scheduled at Lime Rock at the end of June... I hope it's not cancelled. I was thinking about bring my 348 up there instead of my Vantage S. How does the 348 perform on the track and what's you best lap time at Lime Rock in your 348? I've managed to dip below 67 seconds several times despite being a complete amature. And I'm scheduled to be there at the end of July, Dan. I was supposed to be at Daytona yesterday and today. Watkins Glen International for the end of this month has also been cancelled. That's a nice picture of your Vantage. A good track photographer knows just where to stand to get a photo like that. Robb took this picture of me in the same spot about three years ago... What # are you in the '89 builds? if you don't have the assembly plate, there's a stamped number on the left rear shock tower. sjd
I'm on assembly 588 and the matching marks on the subframe are 316. I wondered if 316 meant it was the 316th tb through or something. Why do you ask have you got a register? I think it's a late 89 build from the dated signatures on the inside of the lower door mouldings.
Hi Dan- The car is a blast at Lime Rock! Lots of fun! On a set of old used Hoosier DOT A6's I can turn pretty consistent low 1:03's without pushing it to the same degree as my actual TransAm Corvette. I dont want to damage the 348. It's in such nice condition, i'd hate myself if I hurt it! Shocks are original and need to be rebuilt. I want to keep it original. Guessing that with the shocks squared away, there's probably another second and a half. A project for next winter! I have a set of OEM wheels with lightly used Hoosiers ive been trying to sell for awhile. They would be perfect for you, and I can deliver them to you at the track! PM me if interested!
