mahomes is better than i thought. unstoppable. but the running game of both teams looked a level above anything else in nfl. including titans. the runs off motion are so difficult to execute and so hard to defend.
Honestly, I though Mahomes had a so-so game. Up until the 4 qtr he was even a goat. Yes he pulled it out but a lot of the passes were not crisp. To me the 49's just let down. This is a game they should have won but let get away. That being said, it was an entertaining game to watch. Too many SB games are blow out. This one you felt either team could win throughout most of the game.
That's why mahomes is best qb now. Stop him all game and he still makes the final drive go for the win. Aaron rogers 2.0. But ar still looking to reach that level again 10 yrs later
also happy Sherman gave up the winning score. cant stand him. but he did make an excellent stick on hill in 4 qt. hill being covered by Sherman, caught pass then back up to create room for some moves to put Sherman on his butt but Sherman took him right down. awesome technique on tackle.
does anyone else think mahomes is similar type athlete as steph curry? game changers. same type spectacular circus plays. look a little bit alike as not physically imposing specimens. soft spoken.
^^^ I'll say. All the Desert hot shots predicted the Iggs would win 4 games that year. Linemakers must have a lot of faith in Howie Roseman Eagles GM since as I figure it they have 2 OL spots to worry about, no WRs at all, no cornerbacks, no safties, 1 each LB and DE holes. They do, however, have their long snapper locked down.
Greg Olsen to visit Redskins . . . . Of course Rivera would be happy to have him. The question is at what price? He's well past his sell-by date and he's awfully injury-prone. Still, he does have some talent . . . when healthy. Staying healthy is one of the 'Skins biggest problems.
I agree with you 100% I am still not so sure he deserved the MVP, we thought Damien Williams would be. I don't mine Sherman, but I don't think he is the best in the league. Top-12 - yes. What I HATE is when some mouthpiece comes on and pronounces a player in the game as 'the best in the league' - and he does that with EVERY team. I heard this guy say it countless times with Safeties - every single team has one that is 'the best in the league'. And you all know who I am talking about...
Not sure who u mean re safeties? In ny all I ever hear is how jamal adams is the best. He had a nice 2nd half of season when jets were playing out the string but now he wants big contract. Big mistake. He will go way downhill once he gets his $ just like all jets
I am a die-hard 49ers fan, but I wrote in the other thread that if KC won the Superbowl I would be happy for Andy Reid and Mahomes.
Almost none of those players care. If you look hard, almost every player that has 'chased the money' has been out of the league five years later, or less. Most don't perform AT ALL like they did before the big money, yet GM's are blind to it. There is a difference between 'big money', and 'great money AND a long-term deal'.
Further news regarding Jordan Reed: Six months later and still on concussion protocol - HTTR https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/28724576/redskins-te-jordan-reed-concussion-protocol-almost-6-months-hit
That's good for the Cowboys, but still a shame. He's made big bank. Might be time to find a new path after football. Of course, easy for me to say...T
He seemed to be constantly dinged up with foot and ankle injuries as I recall back then. 6 months in concussion protocol, that's an entirely different and scarier prospect IMO. T
And Jason Witten would be great - IF he was playing 50 years ago when a TE was just a second-side Tackle.
