To complete this little book saga..... the Book Depository order arrived from London here this morning. Free shipping....took 9 days, no special services, no telephone calls, no “sorry we took the month off for holiday”, or “maybe it is in customs” BS. DHL book from McKlein has still not arrived. They don’t know where it is, DHL doesn’t know where it is..... the only good thing is that McKlein has kindly refunded my payment made back in October when the order was placed.
Mistakes and errors do happen, it's human. However, I find it VERY strange that DHL doesn't find the package…………..with a DHL tracking number it really should be possible to locate the item. Marcel Massini

Day 48 of the DHL bookwatch..... Still nothing has been seen... It seems that they can't. They think they put it on a ship, somewhere between Christmas and the first week of January. I have not seen news reports of any freighters sinking in the Atlantic, so hope remains high....
I ordered parts from Germany last Wednesday. They were delivered via UPS yesterday, tracking updated all the way, including interim destinations and customs clearance. Pretty impressive for about €35. I specified UPS or Fedex when I ordered, assuming the German vendor would default to DHL. He said no worries, he doesn’t use DHL even in the Eurozone.
I was in the same boat so to speak with McKlein. The 312P book disappeared from Dec. 28 until Super Bowl Sunday (Feb. 2). Tracking indicated it was located in a U.S. postal service distribution facility in New Jersey. There was no indication of arrival date in the States or customs review. The latest tracking shows it leaving a similar distribution center in Philadelphia. There is no expected delivery date so we will see when and if it arrives AND in what condition it is in after its long and winding journey. Mr. Massini - On another topic: What is your opinion/review of "2500 Ore/Hours"?
The order that I placed arrived at the Post office this morning. Per McKlein's request, I refused delivery, as I had purchased the book elsewhere already, and the package will begin its long and arduous journey back to Germany. Moral of the story......DHL, who's sole reason for existence is to deliver mail and packages....failed to do so in a timely manner. I agree, it is a nicely done book and I am happy to have it..... Glad to hear you got yours!
To conclude my experience, I also received the 312P book today from McKlein. So, the order from Book Depository took 15 days from the date of order. The 312P book (cancelled by Book Depository on Jan 9th) took 25 days from date of order from McKlein. (including DHL movement in Europe) All in, the book cost $5.00 more from McKlein too. Both orders were packed very good and arrived in un-damaged condition. Overall, I'm not complaining about either order. Not sure why, but I suspect the shipping difference might be customs related. McKlein provided an email link to a DHL site which shows them sending the package the next day (Jan 10th) It looks to have spent about a week getting to the point of international shipment, then another 10 days before it showed arriving in the US east coast on Jan 27th. I'm guessing this 2+ weeks included time processing customs inspection. From here, you have to click on another link from the DHL site which takes you to the USPS for tracking here in the US, which took another week to get it to my front door.
I received my 312P book from RacingWebShop.com today. So far I only looked at the photos. What a beautiful book. I too waited for ever, but worth the wait. The book was very well packaged. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Curious to hear any reviews of this one: https://www.performancepublishing.co.uk/richie-ginther-motor-racings-free-thinker.html?fbclid=IwAR3HhvxFyz0-BbWfS8jvn6jX9_x7uxKgdMZ9RwGArnpjtXLQw66tyU3CnxQ
I don’t think it’s been released yet. I believe it’s being introduced at Race Retro. If you go to The Nostalgia Forum at www.motorsport.com there’s a specific thread about it.
Just published? The site says February 26, 2020. I have February 19, 2020, right now, but what do I know? And why does the world need TWO books about the 250 GTE? The other one is being produced by GTE marque expert and GTE Newsletter publisher David Wheeler. Marcel Massini
Ordered mine in England on February 15 by Amazon, received well packaged on February 24 in France.... A beautiful book !
