    Ford vs. Ferrari

Worth seeing IMO. The replicas looked neat. I liked the 906, but I doubt if there were really that many in the race. It seemed like every car in the race that was not a Ford GT or Ferrari P3 was a Porsche.

A funny line was when a Porsche rep asked if Miles was available for Sebring. Miles told Shelby something like "I thought you felt the same way about Germans as we did".

Art of racing in the rain. On plane to los Angeles. Read the book and loved it. Movie started well w accurate racing and ended well despite being unrealistic. Problem was overly melodramatic middle that ruined it. Should have just followed the book

    It Chapter 2

Pretty crazy movie. The opening scene pretty much set the tone with some crazy language/violence (not clown related surprisingly). Rated R for sure and not something to take the kids for thinking it's just something scary. The clown was not the crazy stuff imo.

"Knives Out" last night...had high expectations, especially considering the cast. It was a little boring, my wife even fell asleep in the theater! Lots of missed opportunity for humor with all the kooky characters.....disappointing really.

On amazon, hustlers w jlo. Wife wanted to watch and I was prepared to hate it but surprisingly good. Realistic portrayal of stippers too. I know because a plastic surgeon friend lost his career to similar type women.
Regardless, jlo is a heck of a talent. Dance, sing, comedy, drama. Can do it all. Not too bad looking at 50 either

Star Wars ep 9. Only reason I went was because I saw the previous 8...it was what I expected. Nothing great. I wonder how many side story movies they'll milk off this main franchise.

parasite. had no interest in it despite the critics raves when it 1st came out but had to finally check it out now that it won oscar. what a nothing movie on all levels. cinematiclly, the sets were will done but overall it was about a sophisticated as a good cable tv show. the plot was very straight forward and couldve been told in half the time. and i dont see any deep metaphoric meaning in it either. there is no allegory for all of society in it. basically, a family of grifters con a wealthy family and everyone suffers in the end.
i would love to know what is it about certain movies that make them critic darlings? what is the secret sauce? this was a totally forgettable movie

Hair love. Best six minutes I’ve spent in a while.

Parasite before that before oscars. Been to S Korea many times. Perhaps that helped but I disagree with the review just above.

Did prefer 1917 or OUATIH for best picture.

Meh. I have not finished it yet but so far it seems to be just another Goodfellas template. Just that much more boring and slow. Maybe bc the actors take twice as long to sit down and get up :)

totally agree on Irishman. I tried to finish it several times but only got about 1/2 way thru. no comparison to old scorcese like goodfellas, casino, bull, etc. those were amazing.
