Really shows how insane cars have gotten when a CS is thought of as "slow". Not saying I disagree — after driving the newer Mclarens and RS Porsches it does feel slow. But it's still a lightweight monster with over 400 horsepower!

By no means is the Challenge Stradale a slow car. Plus, it's handling dynamic is one of the best ever. Period!

All good. What's important is that you made the right decision to come back. Congrats!

I am curious how many of you have sold your CS to only come back and buy another? I rarely drive mine (been enjoying my Challenge car and other race cars more) and have contemplated passing it onto the next caretaker but don't want to potentially regret that move.

Have had mine for 12 years now and every time I think of selling, the thought of regretting it later stops me!

Like many, I also owned one years ago and regretted selling it so I bought another. I've got cars that are faster, handle better, track better, and are more valuable... but none of them tick the total experience box like a CS. It's the last car I'd be willing to sell out of my garage for any reason.

I owned a CS when new and missed it so bought another about 5 years ago. On the second go round i realized how much F1 gearbox tech had moved forward. What was great in 2004 didn’t feel so great in 2015 so I sold the round two car after about a year.

One comment on the gearbox as that seems to be the only knock I ever read about the CS; it’s not as snappy as newer cars at only 150ms, but it’s still more than twice as quick as anyone can shift with a manual transmission. If you’re a stop/go driver I can see how the difference between modern cars can be apparent, but when you’ve got these things singing at 4-8k RPMs as you make your way up and down the gears in twisties you don’t want for anything more.
