Great you brought it up. I don't think enough owners get creative like this. A lot of money is left on the table as a result.
Well, it's kinda funny. It's one thing to build and go up incrementally.... It's another to have a pile of cash and go spend it. All of a sudden, I don't want to part with it lol I guess it's just the business owner in me not wanting to waste money....especially on something you know will lose half. On older exotics like a Testarossa or Murcielago series, you're not going to lose much. A 458/ Aventador...different story. Shamile Freeze....Miami Vice! Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
Yeah....won't touch a McLaren. The shop that services my Testarossa also works on McLaren. When I last went there I got the McLaren tour....that one needs a transmission....that one's waiting on the central display screen...etc etc. Shamile Freeze....Miami Vice! Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
its a great car to lease, low money out of pocket and montly payments are fair and will be under warranty 3 years later walk away from it would of lost more if owned it for 3 years
Which McLaren took a hit? ...they all take a big hit lol Shamile Freeze....Miami Vice! Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
Jay R, seven day site wide ban for trolling. Next infraction will be 30 days, one after than will result in a permanent ban. Moss, be advised, we've discussed BOTH of you in the moderator forum. you're not innocent in this, either, and any provoking of Jay R will cost you time out as well. You two need to put each other on ignore, and walk away. D
There is a 99 diablo at Roy’s at 450 or so I could have bought locally for 150 4 years ago. Agree Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
Maintenance wasn’t that bad. I spent money on upgrades too but regular maintenance and repairs was nothing to lose your sleep for. I spent 16k in 4 years of ownership. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
“Are you telling me I cannot net 12% return on a secure low volatile investment?? Then you are not giving me properly investment advice.” Typical comment of a client I don’t miss being a financial advisor AT ALL once a client told me “I have an idea why don’t we purchase stocks every day that will go up around 5% and sell them before the end of the day” I was like “that is a really good strategy I am not sure why I didn’t think about it!!! Instead I was purchasing a lot of stocks and some of them actually went down!!! only thing I needed to do was to not purchase the ones that went down!! It was that easy!! I totally hear you, dude! Now if anybody even utters words like that to me I walk away and won't even consider opening an account with them. Over the years I've fired most of those type of clients (or they fire me ). Either way I've learned just not to partner with clients that are unrealistic. How long were u an FA and what do u do nowadays?
16k in maintenance on a 250k - 300k car ok....16k in maintenance on a 60k-90k car...not so much. I mean each to his own but I just thought it was a lot to put in for the value of the car. Shamile Freeze....Miami Vice! Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
No need for that. I will do it myself if this crap doesn’t stop. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app

20 years total, and 12 in the US (Merrill and WFA) I am still in finance related business as a private investor but nothing related to wealth management. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Over 4 years and I drove it every single time I wanted (just like you) Yes it is expensive but I sold the car for 5k less than I purchased it for (80k vs 75k) so basically It cost me 20-25k to drive an exotic car for 4 years, any other brand new 80k sports car would have depreciated way more than that. I just wasn't expecting that kind of maintenance costs on the car. As a newer model without the need for an engine out for the timing belts, I assumed the operating costs would be lower. Yours was in line as another that was for sale on Ebay had listed all the service invoices....same costs. Shamile Freeze....Miami Vice! Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
No engine out but still timing belts. The 430 was the first model that ditch the belts for a chain, so no longer timing belts service was necessary BUT..... the 430 it is a similar model to the 360 but it has MORE electronics (i.e. manettino wheel) and an electronic differential. All those things are not cheap, after that model technology evolved (MORE electronics and things like carbon ceramic brakes etc) and maintenance costs increased even more. I still believe 360s are the best value for your money, the car is fast and you can really feel the speed. Nowadays 400hp might seem like not much but if someone needs more than 400hp is because that someone only knows how to drive on a straight line. And maintenance is not that much compared to other Ferrari models (specially 355s) A mechanic told me the most reliable models were the 360 manual and the 550. Still the F1 is not a big deal.
