This looks pretty cool. What will the total cost be? It looks like €1000.00???

Also does anyone know what happened to Pierre Scerri who built the fully functioning 1:8 312 PB. He was supposedly working on additional fully functioning 1:8; P3/4, 250 GTO, and 250 LM (?). ... ???

Looks interesting, the wheels will have real spokes like the DeAg Jaguar E type. Wish there were more images in higher resolution--and wish it was available in the US.

Pierre was working with/for the late Gary Kohs of Fine Art Models on those other projects. To the best of my knowledge, none ever progressed very far, the P4 was the only one that I know of where anything was done at all. The 312 PB was the one and only complete model, which Kohs had purchased from Pierre, and that is what started their incomplete collaboration.

Yeah I’m sure. I wonder if ol’ Pierre is working on one or all of them independently.

For the sake of accuracy - the scale was 1/3 not 1/8

Correct! I didn't bother to comment on the scale, but should have. I had this model in one of the museum exhibitions I curated.... back in 1998, "The Art of The Automotive Model." This huge 312 PB model leaked oil all over the display case the museum built for it.

Hard to tell. Centauria uses 3rd party makers for their collections. I.e. Le Grandi Ferrari 1/24 diecast collection was made by Bburago. Current 1:43 Ferrari Racing collection is made by Altaya...

You can see many videos on Youtube: the level of detail and the precision seem rather convincing ...

    For example :

Hello, the same model will be released in Japan this year:

    https://deagostini.jp/f2d/?utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=f2d&argument=jRb8qsAr&dmai=627cd0f987bb5&gclid=CjwKCAjw4ayUBhA4EiwATWyBrid73XuWRl27cJTs3VVaHRc9HsUT4W7Z0y40ZDjqfzofu_FvY2699RoCL5AQAvD_BwE

The price is even higher, 170KJPY, which is now 1350USD thanks to the VERY weak Yen...

I wonder if someone here got the Italian version and if they're happy with it? I live in Tokyo, so I may be tempted, but it's pricey and looks not so detailed for that kind of money...

The 250GTO will start shipping in July in Japan; it is a limited edition and should very popular. It's not a 'ultra' detailed model, but upgrades can be added, I know Tommaso luele has plans to offer an upgrade kit but it probably a year or so away.

I don’t know how I missed this. Wow. 1/3 model with 1/1 maintenance issues. LOL. Do you recall approximately how much the 1/3 PB weighed?

No, I don't remember the weight, but it was VERY heavy. I don't think the owner ever quoted the weight.

It is a web only subscription, people will receive a few parts every month in 25 installments. I'm quite tempted, but that wouldn't be very reasonable...
