And you can help the copart founder-

“Even car wrecks proved to be a treasure trove. Willis Johnson, the gold-chain-wearing Oklahoma native who founded Copart Inc., has amassed a $1.9 billion fortune by building a network of junkyards to sell damaged autos.”

The wheels aren't even damaged. There's probably not much wrong with that CS.

Does anyone know where to find the full VIN of this car? I can only see the first part of it: ZFFDU57A140******

    My quick analysis:

CS 40K miles no issues: $120-150K
CS <15K miles no issues: $150K-180K (potentially higher....).... all IMHO and simple observations. no skin in game.
CS 30-40K miles salvage/rebuilt title: $110-$120K.... my guess.

    This Auction CS w/salvage/title MATH:
If my simple analysis above is close.... then this car is worth $110-$120k rebuilt.

    Max Auction Bid: 50
    Rebuild Parts: 20
    Rebuild Labor: FREE
$70K car.... some meat left on the bone.

    Max Auction Bid: 50
    Rebuild Parts: 20
    Rebuld Labor: 30
    $100K car...... not much contingency.....

Based on auction details..... parts/labor cost is a +/-50% risk.......

    ...

    Car Breaker Math:
    Max Auction Bid: 50
Part Out Value: I suspect well north of 50........ easy math........... .

My guess a car breaker get's this and it never runs the streets again. :<

    .....

If I was in the market now..... (moving soon.... so wife would shoot me).....
I would consider selling my clean 01 gated to fund this, then build up my dream no f's given HPDE gated CS.....
... I hope an enthusiast get's this and get's it back on the street or track.... vs a breaker.......

pardon my uber simple un-informed math :)

When repairing a car like this, what do you do about the unavailability of factory parts such as the radiators?

    I would:
    1) source used parts from a wreck modena low buck just to get it on the road.
    2) then put feelers out and gather source cs parts over time. More will be parted out as u tube Instagram flex is more popular than hp driving training :)

This is a huge buyer beware unless you can put actual eyes on the car. Copart is a huge pile of scammers and scumbags. There are good deals to be had, but frequently the cars have been dolled up to look way better than they actually are. I've seen cars missing major parts completely unrelated to the accident. Cars that have been shoddily reassembled to look in good shape. Flood cars that were cleaned up and passed off as minor fender benders.

I agree. Either they don’t realize (doubt it) or it’s fraud. Here’s why, They have the car listed at 408 miles. The odometer in the pic is in trip mode, and the car has documented 7700 miles on the history records from their site.

I can’t imagine there is no damage on the adjacent panels to the left rocker, front and rear bumper which where torn away. That left quarter is definitely damaged. bet at least 2 rims are damaged, and that’s not to speak of the undercarriage damage that we can’t see which is listed the primary source of damage. Also suspension and gearbox damage are unknowns.

This car is listed as “E” which means enhanced (cleaned up to look more presentable).

If you look at other ferraris on the site many are listed for 1/2 -2/3 the value price as a reserve or buy now.

I absolutely agree, I think this car will sell for 100+k. I would never consider it unless I had boots on the ground that I trusted or myself to inspect it.

There is an already rebuilt CS with about same miles for sale for 129k asking on auto trader.

I bet who ever buys it will rebuild it not part it out and they will spend 50k plus to rebuild , a salvage CS car does not bring much more than hundred grand from what I have seen .
