Nice place to move to. One of the prettiest places in the country. Sorry to hear about your wife. Not a great thing to experience.
In between Nashville and Asheville is this and many other roads like it. This is a Pick of me and my boy on the Tail of the dragon. Terry, I have a feeling that you are going to appreciate you beautiful 575M on a whole other level. May your new locale Be safe and May you enjoy in good health. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Sorry to hear what happened to your wife. All the best to you and your family in the new year. Garage looks great...reason to move alone.
Beautiful home and sweet loan with 50% more garage capacity. Congratulations! After adjustment for inflation and tax deductions it's like an interest free loan.
No more Blake’s and fresh Hatch green chile. Unfortunately you will probably have to attach a front license plate. No place to snow ski. Enjoy.
FBB- Good tailwater fly fishing all over Tennessee. A ways from the mountains, but an easy drive. Never been in a Blake's, but will miss the Chile Rellenos and Dion's pizza with green Chile added. Especially will miss Eloy's Mexican restaurant.
Congrats on the move, Taz, and great choice. May have to follow you in a few years. Well, probably 5-10 anyway before we retire. With so much going for it TN is on our short list of retirement locales.
TN is hot right now. It is considered a scenic hidden gem with the right politics. Flyfishing the Smokies is high on my list.
Taz, all the best to you and your wife for your move. Hopefully it won’t affect your guidance here. That puts paid to my occasional dream of retracing my student footsteps and dropping by you in Albuquerque. I thought NM was one of the most strikingly beautiful of the 40 or so states we drove around (in an ancient VW bus, no Ferraris for me back then). I had an idea of repeating the route in my 575, or even a Portofino. Back then we never made it to Tennessee, which conjures images of the blues, unhealthy delicious food and high humidity. I hope you won’t miss the NM climate. Sorry to hear about the carjacking, sounds horrible.
I have been around there three times visiting the Allison Ultra Performace Boats factory in Louisville, TN. and Lake Cumberland Marine Inc. in KY which was the biggest Fountain Powerboats dealership in the world in the 2000s. (I was the Norwegian dealer for Fountain). Went one time on Lake Cumberland with a Fountain 47 footer with triple Mercury Racing HP900SC. Great fun. Was also stopped by a trooper at 93 miles per houre in the 70 zone. Also a bit of fun. The roads are very nice there with quite steep hills and beautiful scenery. Cool to see the more «normal» USA, not just places like Miami which is more tourists than natives. I wish you the very best of luck at your new location. I went to south of France and don’t regret it at all. Takes 3 houres and 50 dollars to get home anyways If I want to.
Best wishes to you & your wife in your new Home! Don't let the increased humidity into the 575 innards!
Congratulations on the move. There is a very healthy cars and coffee the first Saturday of each month in Cool Springs. Also, if you are a member of FCA, there is an Italian cars, motorcycles and coffee that has some exceptionally nice cars attending. Welcome to TN!
Hi Taz My best wishes to your wife and to you. Enjoy. Seems that you have some more green and you need a lawn mower. Also when lawn mowing, you could drive a Ferrari. https://gianniferrari.com/deu Kind regards from Germany, Daniel
Daniel- A Gianni Ferrari lawnmower, just what I need. My lawn is very steep, so will need one with a low center of gravity. A few extra humids in Tennessee, easier on my one contact lens and Jan's skin, rougher on Ferrari guts. Erik- Tons of big lakes and rivers around Tennessee, but I am not a boat person, more of wade in the trout stream kind of guy. That boat (ship?) draws a little more water than the places I fish. Saw the garage and it is much deeper than the one I have now. Also looks like a 10' ceiling. It had a long bed, crew cab pick-up in it that fit fine, so should be plenty of room.
