Amazing inspiration to all of us...hope you can continue to enjoy cars and fly fishing some days. Beautiful Exige....you’re a true grassroots track rat. Reminds me of my favorite car moments as well tracking my Elise, Exige and 211. You also remind me to take my son fishing more often. I also suffered a dual compression fracture of my spine, and fortunately recovered. I wish you the utmost health. If you are ever in need of a second opinion, my friend who took care of me is Chief of Spine at UCI here in SoCal. Sorry for the tangent. Rosso Scuderia is absolutely stunning! Sent from my 16M
This is probably one of the best Scuds in existence. John is an absolute first class person, and takes superior care of his vehicles. Whoever gets this car will be very happy with it. This is the Wagyu of Scuds. BT
I miss really miss my Scud. Such an amazing driving experience that will never be duplicated. My family thanks you for your service Raider...
Some might find what I'm about to type as a bit much, but its the honest truth... I've followed John on here for years and it would be an honor to be the next owner of one of his cars. (sadly I'm not in the market for a Scud, but someone out there is, and this car is a goodun')
It looks like a gorgeous and meticulously loved example, but the fire suppression system isn’t ideal for a guy who just wants a fun weekend car.
yup, with the fire suppression system and roll cage, its set up for safer tracking, which some buyers will see as a benefit. But, sure, some won't and some will be indifferent.
Just curious would some see the extra safety stuff as to much stuff not needed for someone that dont track. Does the safety stuff make it a non original and that reflect the price...I’m curious. In other words the price should be lower? Even though this safety gear cost money and does protect the car and the person driving. I’m only saying this because a year ago there was car for sale with 25000 miles and a driven car and it was sold for 122k i believe. Again just curious. I like the car but iam looking to buy a F12...cant swing 2 Ferrari’s.
All of the safety gear can easily be removed - I could have Ferrari Of Atlanta o it if that was a condition of buying
Hi, Is that a 550 in your garage ? If that is for sale PM me . Thanks Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
A Scud for 122K? In the past two years I have been looking I don't recall ever seeing clean one that cheap.
GLWS, John. I have your near twin......an '08 w/o the US Carbon package. The Scud is an amazing car and yours is a great spec at a great price for anyone looking to buy one.
What did US carbon package include & how can you tell if a Scud has it or not? Short of having window sticker in hand. I think it was carbon diffuser, maybe sills, & center tunnel but do not know for sure.
From what I understand, it included the carbon fiber headlight buckets and the rear diffuser. I think the interior CF bits are the same for the non US and US carbon package specs. Mine is an earlier production '08 and the the US Carbon package was an upgrade option at that time. The US Carbon package became standard in late '08 and for all '09 production.
....and now, back to our original programming of John's thread....sorry for the temporary hijacking. Your car looks fantastic and your asking price is very reasonable.
Do you still have this scud available? I missed out on one a few months back and been looking since. I have a few questions about the car. Can you message me when you get chance?
