Carbon exterior looks very similar to this 16M. Same color and style with the black stripe. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Work done by Zanasi, this is about the Challenge Stradale. I guess it's a similar story for the 16M. "The car had a full carbon fiber body conversion at a cost of over $150K by the Zanasi group, famous for creating many one off Ferrari over the years. The carbon fiber has been inked red to further accentuate the visuals." https://www.zanasigroup.com/
I have no idea if it’s a wrap, or a new carbon body, or a carbon layer on top of alu body. Last year we had a similar topic about the 16M. https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/threads/carbon-body-or-carbon-wrap-16m.588855/ Also there’s this carbon Enzo. Scroll down for photos, same dark red carbon color in interior and engine compartment. All 3 cars commissioned by the same owner? https://www.autoblog.nl/nieuws/kost-dat-nou-zon-enzo-van-naakt-carbon-88358 Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
The body panels on a CS or Enzo aren’t just bolted onto a frame. It’s unibody construction. They’re not plug and play. This is a carbon wrap layed on top of the aluminum body.
Why place carbon on top of aluminum? I have no idea. It’s the dumbest thing I’ve seen. It’s worse than those cheap body panel kits people put on cars.
Ferrari did this sadly... And on the Challenge Stradale too. Thankfully only for the cowling around the dials.. Such a shame they didn't just make it cf. Guess designers wanted the matching to the central console, dash etc but cost was a bit too high for the complexity of the shape.. For body panels.. No excuses..
If the Ferrari factory built it then its a one-off bespoke special created for the demanding needs of an important customer. If anyone else did it its a turd bomb.
Yes. It’s a turd bomb. Surprised guys in this thread actually believed this was a complete carbon fiber body knock off as opposed to a wrap. Surprised the seller thinks he’s gonna get $300k+ for it.
yup, I mean who gets a CS and the first thing outta their mouth is; "Gee, how can I spend hundreds of thousands of bucks and make this durn thang heavier?" "Thar mussbe a way...thinking...thinking...got it!"
Here's the text from the ad. They're flat out lying by using the word "conversion". The car had a full carbon fiber body conversion at a cost of over $150K by the Zanasi group, famous for creating many one off Ferrari over the years https://www.zanasigroup.com/ . The carbon fiber has been inked red to further accentuate the visuals.
completely agree. When I read the ad I concluded it was a complete body "conversion" (swap). Then posters here informed us that it is in fact an overlay/wrap on top of the aluminum. BS ad (if in fact its verified that its a wrap/overlay over the stock body).
