Pista values should hold up pretty well, unless Ferrari decide to drop a F8 VS bomb onto it:eek:
I don't have any source of confirmation. It does not matter to current pista owners or potential buyers.
Hmm not too sure about that. If you were waiting for delivery of a Pista and they announce a F8 VS what would you be thinking?
I’m a Pista owner and while I don’t think there would be a vs of the F8, who knows, there might be. It doesn’t affect the love for my incoming Pista and if I really wanted the vs, I’d just buy it. There will always be the next latest and greatest. If you okay that game, you will lose. Buy your car and enjoy the hell out of it.
You might be thinking the same as an 812s owner to-be when the 812 VS leaks are saying its a game changer.
Everyone should understand that Ferrari is changing due to its not privately owned anymore, but for consumers it's kinda in a good way that we could enjoy more of their latest and greatest prancing horses.
About the same shock which happened with 488 owners and then hearing about the F8. Depends what they define as VS ? If they put the SF90 engine in yes and especially without GPF and lets add in numbered cars. But frankly those who have a Pista or are waiting for a Pista to enjoy / drive wont give 2 hoots. The PISTA is special . You will never see the volume of PISTAs for sale of the numbers of 488 , F8
Correct except for one thing these are the last V8 rear engine non electric. After this last spurt its game over for me.
I get it but so what? If you really want the last v8 rear engine non electric- just buy one. If the Pista is the last rear engine non electric- look how many are available for resale right now? If you really want a Pista, not too hard to get. If you really want a f8 vs, there will be plenty in due time.
I predict the F8 VS will drop 50 kg from the car, add in some fancy new interior tech and put the SF90 4.0 V8 in the car pushing 769 hp. It’s a more attractive platform to begin with. Definitely will have an impact on 488 Pista values. Like was mentioned by So Cal, buy the car to enjoy it, and it doesn’t matter. however, what’s most exciting is the possibility that with an F8 VS Ferrari will fix the door handle/key hole disaster that has plagued their cars since the 488.
And the VS will also walk your dog, take out the trash and keep your wife company while you watch football! Should be a miracle machine.
if you can afford the depreciation! What's funny is the latest VS will be cutting edge tech within the parameters of regulations worldwide (conflicting interests sometimes), be the bees knees, greatest thing since sliced bread, new design, better laptimes, etc...... and still die if not on the trickle charger after 3 days
You would say fine, this is my last rodeo with Ferrari or at least I will seriously consider other options which is why this won't happen. They know better but then again there are some who just follow blindly.
Im holding out to the very last day you can order a F8 ( as I want to order it the way I want ). By that time I would have had some drives with the F8 to really gauge if I have the desire to change or keep my 488 GTB for ever. Its my last look at Ferrari as I said if it has electrics its 100% no for me.
don't know msrp, but https://www.ebay.com/itm/2019-Ferrari-488-Pista/303402141476?hash=item46a42d4724:g:qMQAAOSwG5td9Bu4
This one must be a super low MSRP so probably a~70k over MSRP. I wouldn't consider such a base car unless as a straight track car.
probably $420ish. No optional CF. More like $50k over. Such amazing cars. Friend/ dealer in Austin told me he was offered Pistas for $40k over. IMO, there is zero chance Ferrari won't offer a LE F8. It will cost MORE than a Pista by at least $50k base. F8 LEs will sell for a year-ish for $50-75k over. After 2-3 years they will settle for MSRP. Pista values will do the same. Miss our Pista
One pista seems to be sold (was on the market for 380k€) now there is one for 359.990€ for sale on mobile.de 4900km, from 2/2019 first owner https://suchen.mobile.de/auto-inserat/ferrari-488-pista-lift-full-carbon-camera-1-hd-sofort-stuttgart/290166620.html?action=parkItem&1576423895880 Image Unavailable, Please Login
The asked price is probably very close to MSRP (I'm too lazy to compute the actual MSRP from the listed options, EUR 360 K allowed to make a decent spec with the 19% VAT, and this one has the stripe, the lift, the rear camera and some carbon.)
