Carbonio is happy to announce our no-drill front license plate mount solution for the 488 Pista, Piloti, and Aperta models. As a global release we are showing it on F-chat FIRST.

The Pista offered some unique engineering challenges and we are proud to say that they were all surmounted. Our license plate bracket offers the ability to mount the plate at varying heights with adjustability for angle and distance to the body. This allows for a totally tailor made fit depending on owner preferences and differing global license plate sizes.

In addition the mount does not interfere with the front lower aerodynamics and can be fitted without problems to cars with the factory front park distance sensors and camera.

As with all of our designs a clever quick release mechanism is totally hidden and allows for the removal and installation of the plate in seconds. This is perfect for quick removal at car shows or track days to retain personal privacy. Otherwise it offers the option to carry the plate in the boot and allow for a quick roadside 'fix' to appease a police officer (works every time :))

First run is in production and we are currently accepting pre-orders on our website. Historically this is the best way to ensure supply as early production is typically back-ordered. As with all of our plate mounts we ship globally so no destination is too far or obscure.

Any pics of the kit without a plate on it? My plates are very narrow (190mm x 134mm)
and I’m not sure how it would look.

Mark thank you for reminding us of the extra small front plates that are available in places like Australia. We have amended our website to reflect this and offer a special option for those areas where an ultra small plate is available. Here is a excerpt of the update:

NOTE TO REST OF WORLD APPLICATIONS

The license plate mounting area for the Rest Of World (ROW) is for plates that are 8" (203 mm) x 3" (76 mm) or larger in size. This is the standard ROW application and fits almost every international plate size.

A few countries have incredibly small front license plates available and for these applications we offer a ROW 'SMALL' listing. The SMALL application has a mounting area of 6.25 inches (155 mm) x 1.25" (33 mm).

Only use the SMALL if your plate is smaller than the standard ROW plate size as there is no advantage to having the smaller mount when the plate size does not require it.

How’s everyone doing the rear plate on their pista - do you have a no drill kit for that?

You can use double-sided tape for that.

Pista No-Drill front license plate mounts are in-stock and ready to ship. Pre-ordered customers are getting their mounts shipped tomorrow and thank you all for your patience. Ferrari dealers have been snapping up pre-orders and we only expect an increase now that we have some inventory so future stock is by no means guaranteed but as of today we have available inventory.

The Pista front license plate mount has been very popular with Ferrari dealers around the world as it is the only truly engineered option for these cars that account for the front aero, parking sensors, and front camera. OEM fit, totally reversible, on and off in seconds, and no damage of any kind.

If your dealer did not offer you the option of one of our mounts please message us or email me directly: [email protected] with your dealer name and point of contact so that we can ensure that the Carbonio mount is made available to them.

Thank you. YES we will have a mount ready for the F8 when the cars start being delivered next year.

We were granted early access to an F8 to allow us to get the measurements correct for a no drill license plate mount. The F8 is very challenging to make a mount for but our chief engineer came up with a very clever solution allowing for a front license plate to be mounted without interfering with front cameras, sensors, or the integral aero duct on the front. We're very excited about it.

Will you have the Challenge/extended paddles for the F8 as well (or are they the same as the 488)?

The F8 paddles will be the same as the 488 so we already have them in stock :)
