Has anyone seen the new Bentley Flying Spur in person? It seems very nicely designed and the few reviews I've watched/read say it's a joy to drive. Wanted to see if there are any fellow Fchatters across the pond who may have test driven one since they aren't going to be released until next year for the US. Thanks in advance.
Image Unavailable, Please Login Fabulous looking in person. very refreshing to see analog controls and switches after so many new cars are coming with haptic junk. Drove it only on the dealer parking lot unfortunately, very smooth and extremely quiet (Euro car they had on display, illegal to drive on the road). Image Unavailable, Please Login
Very nice, I am sure, but I'll stick with my 6 3/4, thankyou. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
My dealer in Edison, NJ had the new Flying spur available for a test drive last week. First, the car is just gorgeous, absolutely beautiful. The fit and finish is in true Bentley Style, very well done. The interior is very sophisticated with all the upgraded electronic amenities you'd expect including head's up display. I particularly liked the rear cabin with removable tablets, reclining rear seats although really made for 2 passengers but a third could be squeezed in there if need be. Even though the car is still heavy, it was extremely quick and nimble and handled great. I currently have the W12 GT coupe but have decided to get the new Spur mainly because I can take more than just one passenger. Here are a few photos I took. Agreed, why bother with a Maybach or Ghost when this is available and much better looks in my opinion.
I'll need to play with the dealer's demo when it comes in, but I'm debating moving from my Mulsanne Speed to the new Flying Spur for the AWD, power, and newer tech. I prefer the design of the Mulsanne over this, and will need to see how solid and quality everything feels in the FS.
I will have a rental Black with Red interior this Wednesday through Sunday so I should have something to share after that what impression I had in LA traffic.
Friday morning my wife and I took a ride up to our dealer to spec a new Flying Spur to replace our 13' Continental GT. However, after walking into the showroom and seeing this beauty, we both fell in love with it and bought it! It is truly a masterpiece in beauty and elegance and yet can really haul itself. Thank you! Just like Ferraris, pictures don't do the car any justice. I had seen similar models on dealer websites but mainly in white/red combos but my god this Hallmark color with the black options just hits it out of the ballpark. It doesn't look like a typical Bentley, much more of a stealthy look. As we were checking out other colors and options, both of us kept looking back at this one and just gave in and am glad we did.
When you think of a Bentley four door sedan your mind doesn't go to that. Blacked out chrome, sportier color, red and black interior...well done. A very nice spec indeed.
