Real Nice car but a shame that no one ever drove the hell out of it, if you want to drive it now as a new owner it Will need a serious service or maybe even a rebuild of the engine, unless you also only want to look at it, which is Nice but not the same as driving it.
Okay, thats what it need, but also all the seals, rubbers and hoses will be dried out After 34 years just standing still.
Hi, I appreciate your comments on my Mondial. However, in 2017, I had the car fully recommissioned. The car was thoroughly gone through, front to back. Everything possibly requiring attention was checked and renewed as required. Not a ‘cheap’ experience and since then kept in running condition. Very recently had fuel metering unit stripped and serviced, again. That, together with rear electric window mechanism being replaced (how much) ?.. make the car eminently usable. If brave enough. The car is still on original tyres, which, I would obviously switch should it be subject to road use. Regards. Graham.

1989 Ferrari Mondial T Coupe https://www.hemmings.com/classifieds/carsforsale/ferrari/mondial/2284936.html
Very reasonably priced!! Especially from a dealer!! A very rare Mondial t coupe w/ a little g-time, complete service history!!
Especially when you consider that the black one on ebay is still listed at $75k. (mileage is slightly less).
I assume you mean the one at Merlin in Atlanta. I've seen it in person and IMO it's not going to sell anywhere near the ask. As much as I'd to see it sell for that price.
And it’s been sitting there (Merlin) for a long, LONG time!! Got to be around 8 months now. Like others here as much as I would like to see it sell at or near asking ($75k if I remember correctly) a more realistic value would be AT LEAST $20k lower. Don’t get me wrong, a nice example-and personally I LOVE Mondi’s in black- but simply not worth $75k in this market imho. Temple
I’m not even sure it could/will get $55k. The t coupe on BaT will tell us A LOT about the current state of the market. Definitely A LOT of love being shown for the Mondial, and at least a couple “regulars” from here (fchat) >>> excuse my poor English Temple
If I were still looking for a t Coupe... every one of them is now over 25 years old. So all Euro versions, including the later cars with the Motronic 2.7 engine management system, are now available for importation. I think these later cars could be scored for a reasonable price, which includes the costs of bringing one over. Shoot, it might even include the trip to Europe for a onsite assessment.
Listing prices appear to be higher, but I feel that can be relative to the exchange rates. Also, while there are many more Euro t Coupes to choose from, most of the ones I've seen appear to better, condition-wise. I should add, non-red cars are of higher interest to me, as are "drivers" over pristine cars.
This site will give you some idea. I filtered the list to T Coupes: https://www.autoscout24.com/lst/ferrari/mondial?sort=price&desc=0&ustate=N%2CU&size=20&page=1&fregfrom=1989&body=3&atype=C&
Wow, a RHD Valeo in blue/grey with less than 23000 miles for less than $57k. Not a car for me, but certainly a rare bird.
I'd consider this one. "Beautiful and well-kept Ferrari with a few kilometers, all original and of course no winter operation." https://www.autoscout24.com/offers/ferrari-mondial-t-gasoline-black-f3ea5a87-6749-8c07-e053-e250040a3ae0?cldtidx=8
Agreed! AND it had a fresh service on it. The seller definitely took a loss on this one. He paid over $47K for it on BaT in 2016 and then did an engine-out service on the car in 2017. Plus he also replaced the carpets/mats and had some AC work done. I'm really surprised that it met reserve at $45K. The buyer got a great deal! 2cam
I wouldn't worry about it. Like stocks, bonds and real estate, the gains/losses are generally realized at the time of sale, not purchase. In the meantime, enjoy!
