I was gonna say- 1000 kg is 2200 pounds. How do you do that with batteries and electrification?

It s a big joke, a Lotus is over 1000 kg...
200 kg more than rhe Pista is a little bit realist..

I think 1000kg was the target weight Adrian Newey set for the Aston Martin Valkyrie but it will not be achieved
    I guess a V12 weighs more than a V8.
Whole different price point though so if Ferrari do pull that one off it is mightily impressive.

The valkyrie will weight approximately 1250 kgs with fluids because the car is very small .
    It's a prototype in disguise.

but that V12 is part of the structure of the car compared to this V8TT. Also that Aston Martin Valkyrie doesn't have a spare ounce of weight in it. An incredible engineering effort that knows no equal in many areas of design especially at the price AM are projecting...

The Senna is 1,198 kgs (dry), so also around 1,250 with fluids? It's not a small car and I've heard that Mac had a challenging time achieving <1,200 kgs - and that's with a traditional ICE.

More like 1350 kgs with fluids which is already an achievement.

Never realized the weight of the fluids added up to so much. In any case, the BB will need to be below 1,500 kg dry to have a better power-weight ratio (assuming 1,000 HP is true).

    Looking forward to the reveal.

According to Magneti Marelli, the LaFerrari's electric motors and the double inverter have a combined weight of 77 kilos (47.5+14.95+14.5). Batteries weight 60kg, as stated by Ferrari in their press release. With additional modules, cables and whatnot, I guess the whole system is around 150-160kg.

Will the BB's system be more complex and overall heavier? That remains to be seen. Anyway, a precise reference to an official Ferrari project is certainly very interesting and, imo, gives some credibility to that quoted e-mail..

I was referring to the half tank mesures.
Anyway you are completely right about BB weight target and I suspect dry weight will be between 1500 and 1600 kgs ..

I agree i dont trust the 1000 kg, but these are the bulletpoints (its in danish). but these ambitious specs could explain why the f8 was a bit of a disappointment...

    Thanks for sharing.
By the way, what does "hurtigere end LaFerrari" mean? Faster than LaFerrari?

Thanks. Everything seems correct: price, power, 0-100, powertrain, faster vs LaF.

By the way, -200kg vs Pista would be about 1080kg and that's Ferrari's dry weight (no fluids, carbon fibre everywhere, other weight-saving optionals, no extra weight like lifter etc.). Can't wait for the reveal.

Unsure what "Ikke" means, but I thought BB was not a special series/limited series. Could this be referring to a different project? A future weight reduced LE variant perhaps (F40.2)?

Don't forget BB must have GPF, even MB tiny 1.6L turbo engine had to have GPF...it all adds up, 1000kg is impossible in a street legal car with V8 twin turbo IC engine, battery pack, electric motors, GPF+full exhaust, remember, hybrids have two power sources, double the effort, more weight...even the aforementioned MB 'project one' is speculated to be at least 1200kg and its IC engine is very small and its battery tiny, only 16 mile range...

From what we've read here, the presentation at Maranello is split over three days (May 29th, 30th and 31st). The reveal in my opinion will happen during the first or last day.

Actually that V12 weighs just 206 kg, less than many turbo V8s.

That motor also has to earn it's keep as part of the car. It doesn't just sit there in the engine bay!
