    Boooom good comment!

Also let me shine some light here as well.

Lot's of Ferrari drivers here think that whatever comes from the factory is basically the best of the best, so lot's of people are actually afraid to touch the car.
Lot's of performance parts can actually improve the car. Lower car ride and wider wheel stance actually improves handling and also looks better. Slammed or obsessive drop will hurt the performance of course. There are limits of everything. Also the aftermarket exhausts, bigger/better brakes, spoilers, diffusers, canards, wide body, and so on car improve the car's performance if done right. You can see this stuff in the LeMans, GT racing and so on.
If you place the stock Ferrari vs the Modified Ferrari out there, your stock Ferrari will go off track in the first corner if given same type of speed.

So to say however it came from the factory is the best way, and don't mess with it, is simply lack of knowledge and not a true statement. There are always ways to improve performance of the car and also the look.

Nobody's driving at that low anywhere, it's air ride man...that means that raises up.(face palm...maybe even double face palm)

Tell me more about how an airbag system from RockAuto is functionally superior (in aspects not related to "cool stance, bruh") to a magnetorheological damper in a 458.

The focus of the article was on the old Testarossa and the 355, that being said, how many people driving 458s are really pushing their car to limit and getting the full use of the performance of the vehicles?

I'd also bet to say one good driver could put down faster lap times with an air ride suspension on a 458 then an army of your average Ferrari 458 drivers with magnetorheological dampers.

I don't know where you live, but where I live it's a very small group of us that actually go to the track and put down hot laps

Which may be an interesting exercise. But the discussion isn't about driver skill, and it's irrelevant to the point of whether an aftermarket bag or the stock damper offers better performance potential in the car itself.

One should be able to support the assertion of "Tire A is better than Tire B", for example, without bringing Michael Schumacher into the mix.

Well then how can you say something's "functionally" better if you can't or dont know how to use it?

Two Joe schmoes driving down the road in two 458s, one with air ride and one with stock suspension, they're going to perform functionally the same.
Same can be said for tires.

An interesting take on Ferraris. The owners can do as they please. Plus it shows that Ferraris were no made by alien Gods and regular people can work on them. ;)

Back when I was tracking my F355 M6 on street tires, I used to pass cars that should have been 10-15 seconds per lap faster--twice per 20 minute session.

This one is my favorite. I absolutely LOVE the modular 20" custom wheels made from the original "saw blade" 348 wheels.

    Stock SUCKS!
