Beautiful! Does yours have the carpet in the trunk? I have the piece that lies on the floor. Not sure if there were more pieces or if the floor carpet is all that came with the car.

Unless mileage is solidly documented (service record through the years, etc.), I don’t pay much attention to what you can see on the dash. Who knows if it’s 11,800km, 111,800km, it 211,800km. Also, the paint looks awfully nice for 44yr paint on fiberglass. I keep in touch with one of the big Stratos specialists in Italy and he told me that if a Stratos was never repainted the paint would be all bubbling and peeling by now. When they build them they weren’t really all that concerned with fit and finish. Same with the carpeting, it looks way too new, possibly better than new, and the exact hue is a bit too dark. Mine was replaced 3-4 years ago, I’ve put 2-3,000 km since and it doesn’t look as new as the carpet in this car. So yes, it is very nice but I just don’t buy the whole unrestored bit...

Looks spot on to me. The paint on my 19K mile car is original and though not flawless is in good shape. My carpet is original and in good shape as well. The drivers bolster is one telltale as that Alcantara has no backing and wears quickly. It is interesting that the flocked dash material on the Stratos held up better than the Dino. We were at Trinchera years ago and the manager said the early material was no good. Popper would know about this car. He had one with 1400 km that was showroom new. Fit and finish was good but not Lexus class. I agree the paint looks almost too good but properly sheltered could be original. Correct white primer showing under paint chips. Wrong shift knob. Should be wood.

Well, the Stratos did well at the RM auction in Essen but the 037 and especially the S4 killed it. Crazy!

    Hi,

Does any one know the paint colours and codes of the original factory Stratos Stadales? I believe there was red (Rosso Arancio 171), light blue, dark blue, yellow and lime green. The specific name and code is important as there were many colours called "Azzurro" for example.
The colours looked very similar to those used on the Lamborghini Miura.
    Thanks for any help.

Hi, Thanks for the info. Maybe the purple is the dark blue I thought it was? Do you know the colour names and codes?

    Again, thanks.

Unfortunately I only have the brochure, but they don’t call out the names or codes.

    Wow, thanks.

It seems the yellow is a Lamborghini Urraco colour.
The 'Purple' is 'Blu' (looks purple).
The version of Azzurro is 'Chiaro' (matches the PPG number)

    Thanks
