In just one week, 473+ of the worlds finest collectors cars will be offered at Scottsdale and for the first time since 2014, Ferrari's are the star pretty much everywhere. 63 of Maranello's best are on offer and they include the 500 Mondial that headlines Bonhams, the Princesses 250 GT Coupe Speciale that headlines RM (with a LaFerrari Aperta) and the four that headline Gooding, 250MM, 250 Tour de France, 250 Short Wheelbase and 275GTB Prototipo. Indeed the only company that is headlining anything other than a Ferrari is Worldwide with a very original Grand Prix Bugatti.

I generally avoid covering Russo & Steele due to lack of basic information about what is on offer (they rarely list VIN/chassis # or even basic information about the lot), 50% hit rate between what is listed on their website and what is actually sold AND month long wait for confirmed results but will add their offerings tomorrow and chuck in B-Js just for encyclopedic coverage. As for Barrett-Jackson, its a shame they ditched their Salon arm which offered some really nice European collectibles and offered competition to Gooding & RM but I guess the audience for Americana is perhaps a little different...... who knows.

I only have one day in Scottsdale, what is the order of auctions you would visit in order? Maybe...

    1) Gooding
    2) RM
    3) Bonhams

I totally agree with your list although Gooding & RM could be 1st equal, Gooding has more classics and RM more of a modern focus in 2019..... Bonhams is a day time auction so either/or for the big two in the evening.

Question: Considering the level to which it was restored, is that yellow 330 GTC better today than it was in '68?

Ok. That's fair. Is it finished mechanically, cosmetically, and performance-wise to a higher level? Or improved upon because of the materials that are available today combined with what we know about these cars and about automobile engineering?
