Couple of Clapton questions for you all... 1) Does anyone know where s/n 10843 currently resides? 2) Did Clapton definitely own s/n 09261? Both of these cars were delivered in the same spec, so I'm trying to figure out which one he owned first. I know s/n 10843 was with him in August 1974. -Ed
I don't have any evidence of it either. So I wonder why 09261 has been referred to as an 'ex Clapton' car in the past. Eric Clapton Ferrari 275 GTB4 Cam for sale at Talacrest -Ed
Correction: it appears he did own 09261 (years later than 10843). I'm guessing he missed 10843 so found another 4cam. More details tbc. -Ed
In April 2003 #09261 was sold by Mr. S. thru Terry Hoyle to EC. It was red at that time and then repainted back to silvergrey metallic by DK Engineering and later sold to Mr. S. D. From there it went to Mr. R. F., an oil trader in London, and then to Mr. N. H. who showed it at the inaugural Warren Classic Concours 5 May 2013 and also at the February 2015 Kuweit Concours. Nice bit of history here on eBay if anyone fancies it. An old insurance document relating to Clapton's period of ownership of s/n 10843. ERIC CLAPTON Patti Harrison Ferrari Car Insurance Document Reg plate is down as 'WDL 88L'. I'm aware that in a photo of this car, the plate appears to be 'WDL 881', and that is what is also down as the original plate - so my guess is that the policy doc is wrong. Quite fun to see 'Patti Harrison' down as a registered driver on a policy starting from August 1974 - just a month after she told George she was leaving him. Also, does anyone know who 'G E Marchini' is? Or 'M Turner' for that matter? Driver? PA? Manager? Finally, someone has scribbled 'BOXER' on in pencil after 'FERRARI', but the engine capacity confirms that this was definitely the 275 GTB/4. -Ed Image Unavailable, Please Login
Blue NART. 05/2001 new to EC. Engine #61143. See also Classic & Sports Car mag 10/2010. Marcel Massini

Another old Clapton insurance document on eBay here: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/153671713697 Reg plate of the car in question is 'GPG 9H', and it's a 4.4-litre car. This definitely wasn't his Boxer, and doesn't match plates of any Daytonas in my records either. Was this 365 GTC s/n 12739? Again, Pattie is down as a named driver, as is 'G E Marchini' and 'M Turner' (still no idea who those last two are). -Ed Image Unavailable, Please Login
Yep, the Boxer crash is no secret - it was used as artwork in the sleeve for Clapton's Slowhand LP! -Ed
https://www.dispatch.com/news/20180820/eric-clapton-makes-guest-appearance-at-local-concert As recently as last year he dropped into a local beer joint and played with some guys he follows. To answer previous questions, he married a much younger girl whose parents would only be OK with it as long as they didn’t turn the kids into jet setters and they agreed to raise them around her family. She went to Bishop Watterson and he is seen at Crew soccer games and other spots. He lives around the corner from me- near Jack Nicklaus’s Muirfield Village. In his same shared private drive is also AJ Hawk (NFL retired) and a few Buckeyes. Sent from my iPad using FerrariChat.com mobile app
I talked to some guys who have a very prominent shop (it would be impolite to name it) in EC’s neighborhood. Apparently the locals consider him something of a terror on the rural roads.
