Tried yet another of PHX area's many highly regarded taco places - this one called Taco Chelo. Glad I tried it so now I know, but nothing special and not cracking my top 3 taco places in town.

Had 4 tacos; Fried fish, Barbacoa, Carne Asada, Carnitas (the Carnitas was perhaps the best of the solid, but not great, bunch):

Looks exactly as you described! Now I've got the craving, will get one next week...

I'm the opposite, they never come with enough tzatziki, so I have to get it on the gyro and buy a side as well to add to it...but then I've never gotten one with as much sauce as NbyNW got! I never thought I'd see a gyro with too much sauce, but now I have.

I had to use a fork at first. No way for typical gyro consumption!

Wow, AzIt, breakfast, lunch and dinner, you're hitting on all cylinders!

Our traditional Xmas breakfast is French toast. Eggs, cream, vanilla bean powder, a little sugar and cinnamon.

The bit I’m most stoked on is the “prosciutto crisps” from the Whole Foods deli counter. They’ve popped prosciutto in the oven (likely the end bits) and transformed it into something like little pork potato chips. Put them on your egg sandwich/wrap for something that competes w bacon. Super tasty.

I have had a craving for a good Chicago dog. There are a ton of Chicagoans down here and thus we have several good options. I like a place called "Chicago Hamburger" where I can get darn fine dogs and a very good slider. Today had a bratwurst rather than a traditional beef frank and a couple of little cheese sliders. Yummy.

Looks tasty! With all the winter visitors from the Midwest, you should get really good Chicago fare in PHX.

The last time we were in Chicago the wife and I tried to get into Hot Dougs, but the line was down the block. So, we went to some other random place near Wrigleyville. I love Chicago dogs, as long as they leave the glow in the dark green relish & mustard off. Awesome. And this is coming from someone who generally prefers a naked hot dog.

Next time I go, I wanna try a mother in law.

Can you get those in Scottsdale?

Where's this at? My favorite is JJ's Gyro's up on 19th Ave and Deer Valley. Runner-up is King of Gyros on Warner and Priest. The owners at both were super friendly.

Hey! Long time no see, I hope you are doing well. It was at Al-Hana inside the Baez Market (here are two, this one was in Mesa).

Next up on my "try it list" for Mediterranean food is; Middle Eastern Bakery and Deli (I went once many years ago, but gotta see how it is nowadays)

    Indian Buffet! So good...

Let's see, there are four kinds of chicken:
    - Butter chicken
    - Tandori chicken
    - Chicken biryani
    - Curried chicken

    Joined by:
    - Paneer masala
    - Hard-boiled Egg masala
    - Spicy cabbage with peas
    - Eggplant masala
    - And a couple of other things I'm forgetting. And naan roti of course (not pictured), plantain pakora and 4 chutneys (mint, coconut, tamarind, tomato) and Riata (yogurt).

Most flavor per dollar you can buy! ($12 bucks for all this and a couple more dishes I didn't put on my plate, all you can eat, with Chai)

I went to Popeye's recently and ordered the spicy, thinking that is what I historically got. But, turns out, I was incorrect in my memory. Now I remember, the way to go is to get the regular and then add their hot sauce to it imho.

Dim Sum day...I love Dim sum day!

    We had:
    - Three traditional steamed dumplings: Har gow (shrimp), Siu Mai (pork/shrimp), Gow Choi Gau (shrimp/chive)
    - Fried Shrimp Roll - just shrimp wrapped in paper-thin wonton dough and fried.
    - Pan Fried Shrimp and Chinese Chive patty (bound together into a patty with egg I think, and then the thinnest of dough to cover before frying)
    - Steamed Chinese broccoli (just the steamed veggie)

Very authentic place (its inside an all-Chinese-store mall with an amazing large Chinese food store full of crazy things). We are usually the only Guailo in the restaurant.

(Forgot to take pics of the food, so here is one of the dim sum cart ladies.)

Feel a cold or something coming on. So, trying to get ahead of it - plus get the spice gods in my corner - with cinnamon, turmeric and matcha.
I ditched the milk (we don't have any in house) and used a small dollop of strawberry preserves instead of maple syrup as I find strawberry and raspberry to be good, flaborwise, complements to turmeric. Apparently, from other web sites, the black pepper helps with absorption of the turmeric.
