Not sure if this link will come up to non subscribers as the Times has a "pay wall".

In summary he likes the car especially because it has a well positioned drivers door window ledge where you can rest your elbow.
    He's right on that score.
On motorway trips its where I put mine, the other one is on the center arm rest.

Every thing else, take with the usual pinch of salt from the contrarian old git/straight talking national treasure

If so I can maybe open, take screen shots and post those.
Mods, any copyright issues that you would have an issue with ?

Ok, well a good few hours have passed with no mods response lets give this a go.
A word, Clarkson is a contrarian, his views are his and need to be taken with a pinch of salt, except about the window sill/elbow rest, that is indisputable.

Food for thought. I still think I'd rather have the V12 and AWD, but he makes his case quite well.

Fully agree the car feels balanced and aggressive.

I can't comment on the T since I have not yet driven one, but I can tell you I would say the same things about the V12.

I think the v12 is plenty aggressive and playful plus you get 4wd for the winter.

His comments match many I know who have had both. If you have an 812 then maybe the T is ideal ?

It would be, only if it had a heated steering wheel option available! :D

Funny guy and good read. My T arrives in March and I hope (and pray) it’s wonderful too.

TDF Blue on Beige Tradition with Daytona inserts and the full carbon treatment. I really can't wait! I recently sold the LussoV12 (13% hit for the year+). FYI For the January build they offered me the option of adding all the new cameras and safety stuff but the only option I really wanted was the 3D cameras and I had to get everything else that I didn't need/want to make that happen. Just was not worth the $8000.

Yes the magic question, even our dealer principle could not believe or understand what I was doing; the Ferrari NA representative also asked why. I never truly loved my GTCV12, I had the FF for 3 years and it was the best car I have ever owned but I just didn't have the same passion for Lusso12 experience. My spec was a little too safe for what I like now and I found the driving experience a little too insulated and too lethargic for my city driving needs. I think if I lived and commuted on big long roads where I could rev it up then I would have been much happier. Additionally I don't drive my Ferraris in the nasty winter here, maybe on light nice days, they get destroyed and I don't trust everyone around me so the AWD is not really needed. THEN I got to drive a V8LussoT and it felt like my 488 with 2 extra seats, it was quick to rev, the torque addictive, and it had so much more character in the city driving. I fought the decision for months, I couldn't go down to a V8?? Eventually the pull of that fun test drive and the opportunity to build a new Ferrari got me. I placed the order and my Lusso12 sold in record time. I want to pair my LussoT with an 812 and incoming Pista.. :)

Excellent Ferrari combo! You get snow all the time. It's a rarity here. So I'd have taken that V12 FF to Colorado to drive it in the snow first chance I got.

I have my unicorn 360 sunroof/stick, so now I'm looking for the right 2+2 to be its partner. It must be a V12 though. Six years with my old 456M GTa spoiled me. :)

I’ve love my V12 Lusso but I can see where Clarkson’s coming from. When I first drove the two engines back to back, I preferred the T as I thought it was more playful. But when my dealer had a V12 in a great spec on the showroom floor, I couldn’t resist it and have no regrets. That sound every time I start the car.... :)
