I've been kept busy in F1. It's the one that came up for me in the OP link. I was preserving it before eBay removed the expired advert. What car came up for you? All the best, Andrew.
You were distracted by your 355 beckoning you from the garage, weren't you? "Paul, drive me!" "I can't, it's winter." "Go on, I'm ready!" "No, baby, no... it's not safe, it's salty out there..." "Awww..." Maybe I'm the one cracking up... All the best, Andrew.
Or they just simply don't want the hassle of dealing with buyers. If it was a divorce, then her Attorney would be all over this, questioning as to why the other party would sell it so cheap, short-changing his client in the process.
while not the norm or my original plan, I bought one owned it for 4 years and sold it for $7K more than I paid and only put $800 worth of tires into it. No, not particularly proud of my deadbeat stint as it's owner, but it didn't cost me much annually to run it
Image Unavailable, Please Login Hi, I purchased this car. It runs and drives great but was indeed in need of a major ect....badly. I have started a build page on face book https://www.facebook.com/groups/2059778644080591/ I have been upgrading the car since I got it home. New custom wheels were built for it, H&R springs added and now the engine is out getting all new parts. Feel free to follow along on the build page. The car itself is fine but for the mileage does need some tending to. The rear grille on the lights was broken so I also replaced it. Ricambi did get a new seatbelt for it for me a long with timing belt ect....I hope to have it put back together after the holiday and waiting on parts. Thanks Albert
I had a 348tb I sold a few years ago and just missed having a Ferrari. I drove a few of my friends cars 355, 430, and a 458 (out of my price range) and just missed the feeling of Driving a car not the car driving me. So while looking for a new toy I decided to go back to the raw feel of a 348. After looking for a couple weeks this one popped up so I grabbed it. I didn't care what it needed, I figured at this price who cares. Glad to be back behind the wheel (or soon enough). Image Unavailable, Please Login
Thank you, I had them custom built. 18x8.5 and 18x10.5 I can get more, it normally takes about 4 weeks to get a set.
Man, those wheels are spectacular! They might look great on my 355?!? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
That looks great, congratulations for having the balls of steel required to take on an un-inspected older car. Top man!
ugh.... Ok I'll bite by what standard? One has to look at the time period. If you judge by HP then few things are as awesome as a crappy Mopar Hell Cat. 0-60 times? Subarus can do better than a F40 did, that those did not perform? I can go buy 2004 Mitsubishi EVO right now throw a gt30 on it with a tune for less than 10K and turn the same lap times lap times on a closed circuit as a 430 and absolutely spank it if wet. That means a 430 does not perform? The 348 was and is great. The market crashed when it came out and people could not count on buying and flipping and making money so it stopped selling and developed a bad rep. Years later the same rags that trashed the early 348 positively gushed at the Spider. The markets recovered. The 348 suffered some issues but the biggest was the timing of the release. Car rags just echo market sentiment. The 348 was and is great. Better looking Ferrari's? Have not seen it yet.
My friend had 2 while I had a 928gt - after driving them I thought that my GT matched the performance - my thoughts were quickly dismissed as those of a jealous person Beautiful car and well done to the buyer Wheels look great as well - on the main board in the news section where I saw the thread the car has 355 style back lights - looks great as it is and hope the new owner has many years of enjoyment Best, Sammy
Yes, but not at a huge loss as compared to market value. If I was getting a divorce, could I sell my 355 to my best friend for 25K, give her 12.5K, and buy it back for 25K, a 12.5K loss but I am able to keep my car?
