No idea who these guys are (yes, I live under a rock) but but supposedly this is the first customer US Pista...
Sorry, didn't make it past "All you gotta do is chase your dreams." Kid looks like he's had a lot of character building struggles in life, lots of reflection time and really grappled with that whole dream chasing thing. My sense is he's really on his way to fulfilling his 2.5 week's ambition of becoming an internet sensation, care of daddy.
These kids are ****ing weird. These kinds of YT channels are like the new Teen Dream Magazine and Zach Morris. I guess every generation has their obsessions.
Weird but a 19 year old kid can't have much Ferrari history. Did they buy a Lusso and Porto to get the car or is this a broker deal?
Their youtube channel is cancerous. How they were able to get their hands on this car I will never know.
I'm so out of the loop, never heard of them but they were famous for some dance video, they now have 12 million youtube subscribers and a wikipedia page: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lucas_and_Marcus
Never heard of these guys. Have no clue who they are and had no clue that having a youtube channel could be so lucrative. But more power to them. IF anyone here was 19 and had a Pista- you would have a grin from ear to ear bigger than these two. Good for them.
Why? There is talk all over this forum of how the younger generation has no interest in Ferrari's. Selling a Pista to someone with huge viewership numbers in that demographic seems like the perfect way to drum up interest in Ferrari and maintain the brand. Selling Pista's to collectors with 10 other Ferrari's is a great way to make money, but those cars mostly get locked away in a garage for a decade. That doesn't generate any publicity at all for Ferrari.
I too think its great. Younger guys doing what it takes to get a Pista creates a new wave of enthusiasm. The Pista may become one of those once in a generation cars...car poster worthy.
+1. MyToys who is a member here had his car delivered before these kids did. Everyone always tries to claim that their car is/was the first.
It is nice to see that Ferrari has very strict standards as to those who are offered the opportunity to own their vehicles. None more deserving than those 2 characters. They have dreamt for a car like this all their lives- all 19 years. Goes to show that dreams can come true for those who are truly deserving. Nice going Ferrari.
A couple dealers on the east coast have already got their first pista's. One of which was this one. I know it wasn't the First pista in the country, but definitely the first for this dealership...
Because that's what their dealer tells them to make their customers sound important. It could also be the first dealer Pista, but that doesn't sound as important. This car will be listed for sale within the year to flip, no bank would every loan funds to a YouTuber for a car.
Yea, the top youtube kid made $18 million last year, I googled them and they are in the top 100 highest paid youtubers.
That whole situation is Pathetic - I've bought 12 new Ferrari's and started buying before that Kid was born and I cannot get a Pista
