Mileage is a bit over 25k. I have a box of service receipts, going back to when it was new. I have spent about $4k in service in the last few years.
A couple people have asked for paperwork about the car being painted when new. I have the car's original window sticker and an early service invoice showing the car's license plate as "A RED DL". The original dealer was Tate Cadillac, which is known to have painted these cars. I have not found an invoice for the paint, I'm not sure if it was an additional charge to the first owner or a dealer incentive to get the car sold. I do not have any history on the blue color, but the car did come with a small can of touch up paint. They really did a great job on the blue and I might keep a sample for future project cars. From every bit of detail I've ever been able to glean? Yes, the gold cars were an AMEX promotion, but they were done at the factory.
After a couple attempts on eBay I have decided to keep the car for a bit. I thought demand was peaking in these lately, but there seems to be a little downturn in the market (even for stainless cars).
That's a beautiful blue D!!! I hope you keep it long enough that I can buy if from you when you decide to sell it again...
Thanks, Andy! I have been enjoying the car lately and have decided to sell other cars in my collection instead. Feel free to check back though, as I go back and forth on selling it.
Awesome! I love The Delorean, and blue! Perfect combo! If you decide to put it back up let me know! [email protected] Ill keep my eye out though! -Andy
