Flyers- VGK on opening night at T-Mobile.
Have you gentlemen seen the new Flyers mascot? Beyond bizarre. And who exactly was clamoring for a mascot anyway? Smart money says it will disappear by January. If there is one good example of why we ignore pre-season, 'Canes are 4-0.
17,921 go to a Vegas Golden Knights preseason game at T mobile against the Kings. The game was also locally broadcasted I think some NFL teams didn’t draw that in preseason. We love our knights!
Yah I saw that. Another sell out pre-season game. Looks to me like the Sharks weren't "into" the game very much. To be honest the Knights had too many penalties. In a normal game you would think the opposite. Fleury still looks sharp though. The season starts THURSDAY at T mobile!
Definitely too many penalties for VGK. I thought the Sharks were in it through the first period, then they just fell apart. Fleury looked great. He looked great Friday night as well. Our first two lines are going to be tough to match for most teams.
Fellow hockey followers. Want to post your predictions for the two teams making each conference final, the two Stanley Cup finalists, and the Champs? Here's mine: East finals: Caps and Leafs West finals: Sharks and Preds SC Finals: Caps and Preds SC Champs: PREDS
Mike. Pens and Knights would be a mammoth series. Just bought my NY Eve tickets for Flyers-Canes. Have an old friend coming donw and like me, a Flyers fan from the Mike Nykoluk and Barry Ashbee days. Let's Go Flyers and let's Go Don Earle
Apologize to any Trawna fans in advance for this. I know I have seen it before in different format. For many years now is has been fashionable to kick the Leafs around, hard. Caught this image today. It entertained me for a moment. Image Unavailable, Please Login
So I hear one of my former home towns, Seattle, is getting an NHL expansion team. I hope they do better than the NHL did in my current home town, Atlanta.
I had to look up the year ( it was 1917 ) but the Seattle Metropolitans of the old PCHA actually won a Stanley Cup. Bob, rub the Genie and let's have your predictions for the playoffs (post # 36 above). Seattle is in the lead for the next franchise which will piss everyone in Quebec City off big time. The Hamilton, Ontario area also has a well organized ownership group lobbying. My guess is at least 2 franchises in existing NHL cities will relocate in the next 3 years.
hahah this is a funny one! I have way to many maple leaf jokes but enjoy some at my past years expense. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Always some fun to see how horrible I am at picking this kind of stuff! The big names I see advancing are listed below East: Pittsburgh, Washington, Boston, Detroit, Tampa Bay, Toronto West: Nashville, St.Loius, Winnipeg, San Jose, Vegas, LA East Finals: Pittsburgh and Toronto West Finals: Vegas and San Jose SC Finals: San Jose and Pittsburgh Cup: San Jose I think right now has the best shot for the cup with Vegas coming up short because one from the West has to go. Either way West has the cup this year I think. East is going to be a mess. I don't think Washington will have the run again. I also don't think the leafs are ready. I think Pitts will advance farther this year and keeping my eye on Detroit / Tampa.
Hamilton's a nice town - I have friends there who I visited in July - but I feel that it is too close to both Buffalo and Toronto to get an NHL team. I think that the only reason they have a CFL team is that it happened many years ago, and I doubt if they would have been able to get a CFL team today. (I frankly think Halifax should get a CFL team.) Quebec probably deserves an NHL team, but why did the Nordiques leave?
