I just spoke to my client ( the owner) Yes this is the car , it was recovered in the same condition with NO damage and no INSURANCE claim XO Mike
From my client : I read the Ferrari chat thread. This car was never found in a container in Europe. It never made it more than 5 miles down the road from where it was stolen. It was covered in a storage container and it never left town it was taken from.
Looks like there are a number of threads from the circa 2005-2006 timeframe by 1cerberus4u when it was stolen. Might be worth getting him to comment on the full story.
I really like the tennis shoe key chain... Hey, I could finally catch up with Dr. Barry W. with this!! I will trade you my steel NON CAT 308GTB, even...... Well, that's almost a good deal!! GLWS man!! I have all the TH Formula 1 coats too, every *&^(*&^ year!!!
It left, it came back....at least the Feds had no chance for a Test Drive! So, no drives!!! LOL! At least on the streets...
Thanks for additional information. I find the link, here was the confusion... https://rennlist.com/forums/racing-and-drivers-education-forum/234811-1995-ferrari-355-challenge-race-car-stolen.html
Stroll down memory lane. My friend was the owner of this car when it was stolen, as referenced above (I'm the author of that Rennlist forum thread that Christian posted above). Quite a story behind that. I also helped him put the stickers on this car, helped him install the headlights . . . in a parking garage . . . in Montreal . . . because he threw a plate on it and drove it up for the Grand Prix weekend. If the straight pipes are still on the car, it sounds AMAZING. We had a blast playing together on the track too - him in this beast, and me in my own 355CH. Good memories. --Dennis
