Anyone else in Monterey this week?
Want to get together for a drive?

I've seen one white Testarossa (he was on the phone, probably with Parnelli), and one black 512 TR. No Boxers so far. Last year, I saw what I thought was ~20 512TRs. I was lucky enough to be driving behind a gorgeous F50 for a while today. I swear our engines were harmonizing:D.

I wish! I went last year it was good fun. So many events to attend there too! I ended up bumping into some YouTubers which was nice There were too
Many testarossa of the world last year made it feel less special!
My friend bud tried to sell is. 1979 F1 Sheckter car there: cant be that rarity u see in Monterey ;)
Enjoy and hope u have no issues with the car;)

I was planning on driving up today and enter concorso Italiano tomorrow with my TR. But the shakedown run to work yesterday ended with it on a flatbed. It started running way too lean and wouldn't produce any power. I was hoping an Italian tune-up would help it. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login

That really stinks. I had a scare, too---had 2 new rear tires just put on the day before and the car was handling like a vault on ice. Turns out the difference between 38 PSI and 30 PSI is substantial. Here's hoping it's a quick fix.

Your car looks great. The silver/red combo reminds me of Luigi Della Grotta's car(which I think is for sale in SoCal).

Yea I was hoping to take the Testarossa on it's first big road trip. But we are taking my dad's Aston up, which is probably a more comfortable ride anyways. I'll try again next year. I'll still go to concorso Italiano as a spectator.

30 PSI with P Zero Rosso tires. At 30 PSI, the car feels very responsive and taught, at 38 PSI it felt very sloppy.

When does the Ferris Bueller hit the auction stage? Any guess what it will eventually sell for? ( not counting buyers commission of course)

I was waiting for you to ask, "Bueller?"
Closer to the end of the auction tomorrow, probably around 3PM. $200k is my guess.

Just finished up Pebble Beach today. Still prefer the Quail. Most TRs I saw in one place was Concorso Italiano.

I think there were 4 512 TRs, and 5 Testarossas at Concorso? One of the 512 TRs there was a 99/100 point car. Even though the owner had the original exhaust in hand, a point was taken off for having a Tubi. Car was immaculate: fog lenses were crystal clear, interior was perfect, hood bonnet leather was sharp, engine bay was spotless, and best of all to me, the engine lid sound insulation was absolutely pristine. He gave me some great advice on how to remove the fog lenses and clean them.
I was too busy talking to the owner and forgot to take pictures.
Anyway, here are some iPhone pictures of my car in Monterey. I have no shame with the dorky sunscreen.

The cars sure do look good on a flatbed at least. I had a very comfortable ride up to Monterey at least. If my car was at concorso it would have been the only grigio testrossa.

Yes I’m missing Monterey Car Week already! Pebble Beach Concours, Laguna Seca, The Quail, The auctions, but most of all Concorso Italiano where I show my Testarossa each year! Seeing all old friends and making many more new ones this year definitely made it special. I can’t wait for next year!

Looks like a non factory clear lid, not a 512 TR.

Neat! Saw your display, thought the teddy was a cute touch. Was also cool to see the luggage in person.
