Monte Carlo, one of the best places on Earth to enjoy a Ferrari drive (except the Summer and F1 weekend!)

    Kind regards,

I took the three roads for the Riviera coast, small, medium and great corniche. Stunning village here, Eze, Beaulieu, Villefranche/mer, Cap Ferrat, La Turbie..oh la la ...
Formidable roads and view over the sea.
Ferrari fully, Lambo 3, RR a lot..

2225 km Savona to Alicante by coast. A great voyage during 20 days.

Thanks for sharing!!i also have a ton of cool pictures from the riviera, although not of the same high quality as yours though. I also love the pictures with Swiss backgrounds. Some places there gives a certain peace of mind.

I am now writing this message because we are organizing an amazing event on November 3rd and I hope that some of You can join us.
We managed to reserve the Monza racetrack for the day for our private supercar event , if anyone is interested send me a PM and we will talk there.

I live in California, USA. I am seriously considering shipping one of my Ferraris to Europe, to do a one month drive along the Mediterranean coast.

Could you tell me a little more about your drive from Savona to Alicante? How many hours a day did you drive? What was the experience? Did you have to plan everything ahead of time and reserve hotels? Or did you do the trip without planning ahead? Do you have pictures to share? Also, Google Maps says the distance is only 1345 km. How come you drove 2225 kms?

Sounds a wonderful idea - roads/hotels etc depends very much on time of year - be sure you can get proper insurance cover before you get too excited

The drive between Geneva and St Tropez is beautiful, especially near Grimaud and speed limits on the highway were not particularly enforced. Unfortunately I was in a fiat, not my Ferrari :)

Thanks. French will be ok too. I speak a little French, and I can always use Google Translate.

Google Maps says it is 560 kms, and about 6 hour drive. Does that sound about right?

It’s one of the rare drives I’ve taken with a beautiful journey and amazing destination, regardless of whether you’re coming or going ;)
It also felt very safe, fwiw.

    Sam,

We decided to turn back to Italy for a short time, by car, and come back to home by the Mediterranean coast.

It happens, that we sometimes receive promotional offers from the shipping companies. We had done Ibiza, Menorca before.
We wanted a direct route, enjoy the Mediterranean, go to Italy and then browse the coast by visiting some symbolic places, such as:
    Italy: Savona, San Remo
France: Menton, Monaco, Nice, Cannes, Aix en Provence, Pézenas.
    Spain: Cadaquez, Barcelona, and Valencia.

Afther 500 km to Barcelona we took a boat to Barcelona via Grimaldi Direct in Savona.
Departure 6pm arrival at 8am the next morning. Bunk, and menu on the boat.

There is little to see in Savona, and as it was raining we continue on the road to San Remo by the motorway.
San Remo is a beautiful city, which makes an effort now to regain its colors lost in time. Large hotels Facing the sea, private beach, I even found a Ferrari in a property almost abandoned.
The time of an espresso coffee -a real one-we were going towards a flower town, Menton. Extraordinary, I liked the ambience of the city centre, the port.
We had taken a logis on the heights of Nice, a view, on the mountain, the forest.
Good location for short courses. Close to Cannes, Nice, Monaco.
I adore, the Grande Corniche to go to Monaco, the villages located in heights, Eze for is the peaceful view of the Mediterranean.
Monaco, a city that has lost in my sense its charm. Big Towers, "kekés"running around in circles with their sport cars.
I found this city so artificial that I thought one thing would return to the Corniche.
In short, Nice the market, the Big Beach, is beautiful. Going through the middle and low Corniche, you will have more pleasure in finding authentic places, made of small town such as Villefranche sur Mer, Saint Jean Cap will do.
Away from the crowd, beautiful beaches, parking.

Pezenas, is a city full of small shops, or artisans of all kinds make known their passions.
This time we had taken a guest room in an old building, surrounded by vineyards. Remarkable.

In Spain, Cadaquez is close to the border, only one road to access to the village, very narrow, you tighten your buttocks when a bus arrives....the village refuses mass tourism. We understand it when we get to the scene.
It's also the village of Dali.

Barcelona, the port, Las Ramblas, the ediffic of Gaudi, Sagrada Familia... a beautiful city.

It was a great trip, we did it in July, I think it must be nicer in June or September.
Anyway, we tryed to have the to see a lot of place which explains the distance 2200 km. We go many time in Nice, Cannes and Monaco 3 times. short distance but at the end numbers are big...and I m living +/- 400 know from Barcelona.

    Hope it helps you Sam.

    Regards
    Christian

By the way, did you see any rain in the trip? I really prefer not to drive my Ferraris in the rain.
