Hello FerrariChat! I am somewhat new to this site but I've decided to start a thread that follows the production of my 488 right up until/after delivery. I've seen others post their timelines for their 458/488 deliveries and loved the idea! Early November 2017 we put the order in for a 488GTB Coupe and are currently on schedule for a mid March completion, couldn't be more excited! More updates to come, stand-by! Current Status: 30
Just go to a Ferrari dealer and talk to them. Getting a new Ferrari is not like th days of old. You have money? They will sell you a car.
Car went to Status "40" Saturday while the family and i were in vegas! Not sure when the photos are taken/delivered but I will follow up with them and any other updates as they come through
How does one learn of status changes? Myferrari portal notification? ‘Cause I got nothing in there, which gets old.
@Clembo I've heard of that happening actually, hopefully i actually get sent them before delivery - either way though, it will be nice to have some production pics! @Napoli I'm being updated by my Ferrari Dealer
Nothing from dealer, either Order accepted Dec 15, 2017. Don't even have Status 10, yet. Supposed to be March build/May delivery. Assuming May delivery is no longer possible. In what month do they start building 2019's?
I’m going to go out on a limb and predict it starts in the next two weeks for you. I know we are in the same boat now but it’s got to pop soon
Was told by dealer July production could be could be 2019 model or could be after factory shuts down in August. Either way you would see the car in Sep and possibly much later. Also never discounts yet another price increase for 2019
Ha yes. Hopefully a better vessel in the coming months though with desirable contents. I know you interfaced a lot with Porsche before too and the detail was just more predictable which I have enjoyed in the past as well. But given that timeline it just has to be around the corner for you and me too I suspect.
With Porsche, my car arrived at the dealer at least 2-3 weeks earlier than they told me it would. They called me one day and said "it's here."
If my car is going to arrive in April (as indicated by my dealer - October order), then it is either on the boat or will be very shortly. The update I received about two weeks ago (on myferrari) indicated that the car was at the start of production.
That's odd, what does your Dealer tell you? I've heard of instances where the car hasn't even "begun" but it jumps to status 70 etc. - Although im not sure if this is what is happening. I hope for a quicker delivery than anticipated!
Dealer told me what we already know - that myferrari.com is not always current or reliable - and that they (the dealer) would notify me of any status changes. Since I have not heard from my dealer, I assume nothing has happened yet.
