Ferrari 488 Pista

To have decent downforce we need fxxk evo rear spoiler plus wing and 488 gt3 front splitter, or a huge gt3 wing. But last wing on a road going Ferrari was on F50

 

So the 488 Pista is like a facelift 488 and the special ones are Aperta and LE (for racing clients)?

 

Actually, based on that image, the front looks great. Not overly styled, not loaded down with BS add ons, good proportions, etc. Seems like a win to me.

After these pictures I really love the new 488 Pista. Looks beautiful and aggressive at the same time!

 

The racing clients, don't they get enough thrills from their race cars? Are they really screaming to spend more money on a compromised race car that is street legal?

 

Makes those Starbucks runs that more exciting!

Thx. I'm seeing the presentation this evening. Very impressive numbers!

 

I thought the Italia was more good looking than speciale. In this case Pista looks way better than GTB. Much more aggressive in a beautiful way.

 

Just FYI...”the23collection” has all the three 488 Pista intro movies in his IG stories...

Now on a different note...the name reminds me of Luigi from the movie Cars...”pista, pista!” LOL

I think Ferrari did a pretty good job to improve aero and give the car a more aggressive/racing look. I think @ingegnere said this was going to be the ultimate optimization of the 458/488 design and I agree with him.

The fourth story with the glowing brakes is way too cool!

I think the angulation of the photos makes for a difficult comparison. The Pista is taken at a lower more aggressive angle

Very purposefully done this way so as you say an unfair comparison.

 

I like how they've raised the winglet in the side air scoops, integrating it into what looks like a carbon fiber insert that extends out a few inches. Makes the overall appearance more closely resemble the scoops on the 308/328/288, and simply looks better to me.

I was told after the presentation that Challenge owners / drivers would have more tailor made options availble.
First deliveries should be end of 2018.
