Pista??? No we wouldn't want to use GTO, that you just be silly....better use Pista uhhhhh
I hope... problably carbon fiber option wheels.. i remember black wheels.. with single ray, non double like Tdf
don´t like the name. today. pizza jokes will be incomming. anyhow. car will be fine. and if 320k€ inkl. VAT. what i believe. price is also fine. as long GT2RS is 285k€ inkl. VAT.
at least they used the carbon fiber 3 button centre stalk to match the LaFerari, F12 TDF and 458 Speciale. ok someone tell me so I can convert it to Toronto time.......what is the maranello Italy reveal time......please
If the japan site is reliable, I'd say I expected more in terms of downforce etc, so i now believe 488 LE will be the real final extreme version of 488, especially cause someone said they left on the table quite a lot of power from the v8
I'm sure it will be much better in the metal, but even this render looks fantastic. Ferrari's in-house design is really getting into a groove. Previously the Portofino, and now this. Exciting times to be a Ferrari fan.
I like the name but some of you said it doesnt make sense in Italian? Fwiw in Spanish sounds not bad. Pista means track, race track, circuit. Honestly they're running out of logical names. Car looks fine as expected, I would do no stripes as they stress the already steep air pass in the hood.
Not sure what I think of it, everything seems quite generic to me, the huge scoop at the front reminds me of a Ford GT and overall there just appear to be too many air ducks and suchlike. To my eyes there is some elegance missing here which I concede is probably not the point of a track car/road racer. Perhaps it will look better without the stripe. No question is will be incredibly fast!
ya know I defended LaFerrari's name........even came to terms with "Superfast" considering its historical significance........but the "Pista" Pisses me off. GTO, Daytona, Le Man, F1.........anything would have been better.
So quick summary of specs are: 730 PS @ 8000 rpm 770 NM @ 3000 rpm 1280 kg (-90kg) 20% more downforce 0-100 km/h 2.85 secs 340 km/h vmax Inconel exhaust Lightweight flywheel & crankshaft Carbon connecting rods Carbon intake Carbon 20" rims Carbon f&r bumpers, rear spoiler and engine cover SSC 4(?) and something called "Ferrari Dynamic Enhancer" referring to trick braking system Estimated £215.000
So that's the so-called "dry weight", kerb weight should be just under 1400 kg (while the 488 GTB is at 1475 kg announced).
Me too. I'm not getting the dislike - yes, pizza jokes, but so what - because it means track. That's what the car is all about!
Is is the 90 kg saving assuming the carbon wheels? That’ll add back loads of weight with regular wheels then... Inconel exhaust is very trick. And pricey. Can’t wait to see this thing perform on track!
The rear of this car is hot like fire. The side profile has curves like a supermodel. The front is throwing me off a little because of the stripe but when you picture the car without it, I dig it.
