There are NO MODIFICATIONS on this car, still has original radio! The OZ Racing wheels are dated 1993 and have been on the car since then. Everything works but the casset player. Even the power antenna works. This was a one owner car until I purchased it early this year. Have a copy of the original 1991 title as was as a clean GA title in my name to show unbroken chain of custody. Extensive pile of service records. New fluids, belts timing belt, water pump, AC compressor and condenser replaced. I will upload my $4500+ receipts later as they are still packed from the hurricane evacuation preparation. This is a driver: The paint is original and has some peeling clear coat. There is a rust bubble on the right rear quarter panel. I need to take a pic of some rust in the lower driver side door The seat leather is original and has some shrinkage and tears. Everything works, AC is very cold, cruise control works, T Tops do not leak. All lights, signals, horn, wipers etc work fine. I get up at 400am and drive this thing to work for fun. Located near Savannah Ga, title in hand. 135,000 miles. $10,500.00. Thanks. Michael.
More pics. 10 is the limit for single post. Pic of surrendered original title posted. I have a clear Ga title in hand.
Bump. Craigs List is tire kicker heaven it seems. Please Post / Pm cash offers if interested. This is a fun and well sorted car. Clean title in hand. Thanks for looking
I'm 6'5" tall with a very long torso and weighed over 300lbs when I last drove one, and I fit fine. These are great cars and will go up in value. (Man, I wish I was in the market!) Good luck with the sale. Great car!
Thanks for the views. Car is online a few places now. I have a local shop that PPI the car if anyone wants. I spent over $3000+ going over the car when I bought it. Everything works. NO MODS.
I can't imagine why this car has not sold. It appears totally legitimate. CarReaper seems fully trustworthy. MR2 in less original shape than this have sold for far more money. Did you try BringATrailer? The unmolested, basically single owner history should make this an easy sell, especially at this price... A '91-93 was on my wish list, but my wish list is suspended - nowhere to park - or I would have bought this. I am flummoxed.
Instead of continuing to drop the price, might it be better to have the seats and the rust spot professionally repaired? Sweet little car! GLWS!
What kind of trade? What are you interested in? I love these cars, but don't have budget...might have something worth trading.
Great point but: Because I was diagnosed with Liver Disease in November paying someone to mess with this car is not on my radar. My insurance through General Dynamics also only covers "so much" so I am not putting *moar!* money into the car. Have $12,000.00 in the car and have receipts of $4500 I put into the car in addition to buying it less than a year ago. Just dropped the insurance to liability and paid it for another 6 months. ( It sits in a locked garage, not outside.) I guess I need to try Ebay. yuck. PS: DETEST, hate cannot stand "Bring-A -Trailer"... those toads pissed me off 2 years ago and I wont even look at their site much less sell there. No disrespect intended to anyone. Just fillin in the blanks.
I cannot believe this has not sold and I wish I was in a position to add a car. At this price, if you care for it and dont rice it out, it will treat you right and at worst hold its value and probably appreciate. I wonder if Sterling Sackey would be interested in buying it? Its not as mint as his usual fare, but its in his wheelhouse, though I don't know that he likes MR2s as well as Hondas.
I'm with you on eBay and BaT. There is a guy on this forum that is a big MR2 fan / owner / customizer. Maybe he would bite? Is it something you can hold out on or do you need to sell ASAP? I've been experiencing the same with my XJS-12 - it simply won't sell. A lot of interest, no takers. I'm at the point of scrapping it because I can't find a buyer.
I got ya, just hate to see you lose more because a couple things that might make someone shy away, but that aren't really a big deal. Have you looked to see if there are any MR2 forums (I'm sure you have, but just thinking aloud)? Might be good to advertise it on one of the forums.
I am on a MR2 forum. But many on there seem to be the dreamer / check to check type. I have 2 friends that are local dealers. May offer them cash to run it through an auction soon.
